Pakistani National Anthem.

*Should WE [ALLAH] then treat those who have submitted [Muslimin] like the wicked [Mujrimin]? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? (Quran-al Ha'kim, 68: 35-36)

A very beautiful national anthem replete with beautiful Persian inspired and induced phrases. Now, the Persian phrases put together Arabic words, so that their resultant implication in Ma'na is way beyond the building words. Not to mention, Urdu is the ultimate expression of the Muslim Exceptionalism* (i.e., Two Nation Theory) in the subcontinent....

Since Urdu derives from the Turkish word Ordu (Military), the Turkish National Anthem(showing Jelalet) is complementary and supplementary to the Pak one (showing Jemalet):

By more than 90% population at least.
Ok, that still leaves at least 140 million not understanding what that anthem is all about. But the point is that they don't need to, despite not understanding, they still rally behind the anthem.

No different for those in the same boat in Pakistan.

Right.
But sadly we fall into @El Sidd trolling in many threads.
Just look at the OP's Pakistani anthem: The visuals, the music, and the words! IMO, that's an unmatched combination for a Pakistan national anthem!!

A beautiful explanation:

I didn't know some of the details. I just take some issue with many not wanting to correctly see 'Gh' and 'Kh' guttural sounds. I don't think Pakistanis shy away from that but I notice Western based journalists and many from Iran/Turkey seem too embarrassed to say 'KhhhKakan' and instead they say 'Hakaan'. Am I right on that??!!

As much I want peace between India and Pakistan and don't wish a harm to any Indian peaceful person, I think Pakistan and India have evolved to be too different now. Look at this version of the Pakistani anthem. Many in this would be some 'stars' in India's Bollywood but they are mostly just ordinary Pakistani ladies (and gents).

In fact, you're right. In Turkish, "Kh" is transformed into "H". For example, Khan to Han, Khalid to Halit etc...

I am noticing that. Even the only Iranian-American in my circle seems shy to use 'Kh' from 'Khuda Hafiz'.

Here is another of my favorite versions. Atif Aslam's. And I can't believe women with bare shoulders in Pakistan?!!!!

Please don't change the video title. Thanks

I do think you get a bad wrap lots of times, but sometimes I think you over do it. Look around most non Pakistani moderators literally act as spokespersons of their respective countries. Pakistani moderators have a habit of being overzealous. I would love to see the fatman I saw post operation Bandoor.

As natural part of our national mindset we give everyone a chance, a forum like this is rare and can only exist because of Pakistani mindset and Pakistani guidance, others don't give you the space, it just doesn't happen.

But, on a Pakistani forum led by Pakistanis, can we please agree on some leniency on just a few topics, a tiny list, something, anything.
Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
(an Indian moderator was able to delete a post and give a warning to a Kashmiri Pakistani for writing about Patiala state forces, which had invaded Kashmir before the Tribals arrived. But an Indian moderator was able to censor him, a Kashmiri, on a Pakistani forum. How the heck does that make sense? They not only oppress Kashmiris in Kashmir but come to our home and oppress here to)

Can we please settle on this,
Allow slight, just a tiny bit of freedom of expression on just two topics
1. Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. (there's a policy statement on Palestine here, why not on Kashmir?)
2. Celebration of our national identity. (this includes national anthem, IVC and anything else someone can think of and allow at least on some occasion for the titles to use a different word here and there.)

Thank you for your attention.

Did I ask about your interests in Opera or Oprah?

You asked a question, he gave you an answer, with nuance and context.
If you wanted a specific answer then you should have attached terms and conditions. He is not required to give an answer that you want to hear, but an answer which covers the topic, which he did.

Are you of the opinion that the lyrics should be taken out and only melody left if people cannot understand the alien language of the anthem?

Do you believe India is a nation? It seems like a colonial entity.

Urdu has been a cultural and historical part of our identity for centuries in more ways then we realise.
It was the official language in most of the Indus region, that's Punjab, KPK and Kashmir since the 19th century and unofficially long before. It is also part of our religious heritage, please search which language contains the largest amount of Islamic literature in the world especially in South Asia, it's Urdu.

Furthermore, we're not born with inherent knowledge about anything, we learn, just like you could not have logged in on this forum or wrote your post without knowing English, you were not born with English, you learnt it. Similarly, it is not difficult to learn the meaning of the national anthem, you only have to learn it.
