Cooperation between Turkey and Japan in the defense industry. I don't expect anything from the Japanese.

Italy and #Spain are increasingly driving Turkey’s practical integration into Europe’s defense architecture. 🇮🇹🇪🇸🇹🇷🇪🇺

The HÜRJET/SAETA II program with Spain and the Baykar–Leonardo cooperation with Italy point to the same trend: not just procurement, but co-production, industrial integration, and defense interdependence.

Turkey is likely to become an increasingly important technological partner for Europe. Yet integration through a comprehensive institutional framework does not seem politically feasible for now.

This means Europe will need to think differently: flexible coalitions, sectoral agreements, NATO-linked formats, and bilateral industrial partnerships may become the real infrastructure of cooperation.

Indonesia signed a contract to buy Kizilelma.

Now THAT is a big deal

the 12 units might be a small contract but if they are getting ground facilities and support/training/local production this could be over $1 billion

now if they expand to 60 units you're looking at a potential $4+ deal here

truly amazing

I think Turkey wants to sell Japan TB3s, I think there is potential. They are the only Western country in the world with Submarine engines, outside of Germany. And they have other unique products that you can't buy from elsewhere.

Contrary to popular belief, they're very arrogant. They don't cooperate with non-White nations. Well, this was their stance in the past making China much more favourable in the eyes of many governments all around the world. Perhaps they realised their mistake but, ofc, selling them Turkish-made weapons should be encouraged.
