Education: State of Schooling in Pakistan 🇵🇰

Build universities, vocational schools.
Promote a culture of education. Copy Chinese or Japanese models

Yep, PTI especially. All that talk of Naya Pakistan and after 10 years the kids in your province are even more illiterate?!

@313Ghazi bhai I explained this in post # 9. Please read it. If you remove the FATA districts from KPK, KPK literacy rate increases to 60%. It is due to the very very very bad situation of education in FATA districts that KP's overall literacy is reduced.

Now, I agree 60% is still not good. Should have been more than 65%. But our problem (whole Pakistan) is the tremendous increase in population and out of school kids. Every year we are adding 5 million to our population (whole pakistan) and 3 million to out of school kids.. so Although we are educating more and more people, but number of out of school kids is increasing even more than the educated ones. Here is where KPK (along with other provinces) failed.

By the way some stats on literacy rate. I assume all of you know how average values works.

In 2013:

KPK literacy rate : 52%
Fata literacy rate : 24%

In 2018 : at time of merger

KPK literacy rate : 57%
Fatah literacy rate : 28%

Overall KPK literacy rate (with merged fata) : 51-53%

In 2025:

KPK excluding data: 60%
Fata districts only : 36% (here is where kpk did good. Took it from 28% to 36% in just 7 years).

I believe now everyone realizes why KPK is still stuck with 52-55% despite increasing mainstream districts literacy rate from 52% to 60% and for fata districts from 28% to 36%.

Population.

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

Yes, the state of education in Pakistan is not good. lol.

We need to correct our situation. Perhaps with Chinese and Japanese help.

There are a few good universities in Pakistan though,

like: Aga Khan University, LUMS, NUST, King Edward Medical University.

Literacy rate, isnt bothered by universities. It depends on schools and colleges mainly. The most important things that we need to focus on (if you are bothered by low literacy rate) are

1. Out of school kids (here adult education helps)
2. Bad infrastructure in schools
3. Less motivated female students

Yes you are correct. We need out of school children attend adult schools so they can lead a useful and productive life.

Quality of education is ignored in Pakistan.

How many of our paper signed literate folk would even be considered literate on an international comparative standard?

You Zionist idiot? What is your point?

Pakistan has a Nominal GDP of $410 billion. Most of the economy should be focused on the education and economy.

On the military sector we are doing fine in that.

Seriously? Look, if you want me to spoon-feed you the answers, at the very least you don't get to call me an idiot!
No, do I have to spoonfeed you? Don't use stupid irrelevant quotes to prove your point. Just get to the point, We Pakistanis are using the best of ur budget to fix our country.
