Racist attacks leave New Zealand's Indian community feeling 'hounded'

Why wouldn’t our youngsters and their families take pride in the work they do?

For many of them their starting salaries are far higher than what their parents ever earned. That means savings, dignity, upward mobility and a better life. Calling that 'servitude' is just snobbery.
Well looking at the living conditions of these folks out here then I would question why they are being sent here in their droves. Of course the salary is higher compared to what they could make back in India and they can send lots of GBP home but that is a function of exchange rates and a complete paradigm shift in GDP per capita between the nations of India and GB. But in local terms, squatting ten to a bedsit for minimum wage and being exploited by other Indians is very much indentured servitude, at best! Like I said, if this suffices for them, then each to their own I guess.

Our political discourse gives people space to vent, fight elections, protest and push for change.
Can you honestly say the same about your homeland?
But that's the point - there is a class of hundreds of millions who don't want to push for change. They literally want out and to live as slightly better dressed servants elsewhere.

No, your political structure oppresses its people and divides them in different castes. On top of that, Hindutva claim that Hindustan only belongs to them and not other minorities living inside India.

Can you say that India is a just society? Why do people like you consider poor Indian youngsters as cockroaches?

No, India is not a just society. That would be a fantasy claim for a country at our stage of development. But it is also a country lifting millions out of poverty, expanding education, creating jobs. The story is messy, unequal progress.

Notice how Farage can no longer say this, ever since he sold British nationalism down the river. Farage is no different to the Tories.

If India is not a just society, I don't want any lectures from you on this forum.

I wish all of them could be provided a luxury villa but it is what it is.
People with ambition often accept discomfort in the short term if it means better income, savings and a path upward for their families. You may call it 'servitude' they may call it sacrifice and opportunity.

Why would I claim something that is not, you seem to live in some fantasy land

Even on this forum where you are a foreign guest, you are behaving like it is your own home. You people are so filthy and entitled. No wonder the world is recognising and hating you.

I'm just stating plain facts and Indian POV, What do you want me to say "pleaseee saar"?

I want you to shut up because you are making an a$$ out of yourself.
Very smart retort 😂
If I’m making an ass of myself, shouldn’t you be happy? That gives you one more chance to paint Indians badly and score a point for your agenda.
