Ah I missed the number on the wings. That new UAV looks much better than the previous UAVs. Is it a reverse engineered from Israeli spy drone?

You mean research engineering of the Hebron? :) I would have no idea.

Forget about that UAV, the real deal is on the left screen, what were these young Viettel kids looking at:cool:

Yes the drone from the Israeli
That aircraft looks similar to Yak130. Will be difficult to make without tech transfer deal with Russia. I think we need to wait until Putin is desperate with his 3 day war against Ukraine.

Making UAVs like making shoes. Vietnam’s universities seem slowly catching up with China, Japan and Korea.

Interesting, just 1 year then the engineers managed to increase the VCM land-attack missile range from 300 km to 600 km. Next logical step probably increasing to 1,000 km with new jet engines.

Good progress
That optoelectronics is very useful in the final phase looking and illuminating the target.

This is the Viettel team that is responsible for that EO seeker. I used to have a pic of this group with their full faces but I wouldn't post it even if I still have it now. These young brilliant kids are just in their 20's and 30's at most

The US doesn't want East Asia to become the destination haven of the foreign capital.

Since they cannot directly attack China, so they may target Vietnam instead.

Since the US under Trump right now is simply unpredictable.
The risk is real. there is strong anti communist sentiment in ASEAN, the US, Japan and Korea but I think as long as Vietnam is neutral we are safe. Otherwise we are on the same level with Cuba, Iran and Venezuela so Vietnam military buildup is necessary though, just in case.

China is a big elephant that’s another level. and there is risk of nuclear escalation so the US will not cross out of own survival instinct. The MAGA will not attack China. Vietnam, China relationship is complicated, is another story.

Good progress
