Vance confirmed the US is seeking zero enrichment and destruction of the HEU, and even if a deal is reached and two years from now Iran decided to restart a nuclear program sanctions will be enforced again.
 
And when exceptions are made, which they will be, it will be spun as "good diplomacy in the spirit of partnership to further the mutual benefits of both Iran and the US".
 
JD Vance is not backing down and sees a political opportunity to immunize his 2028 presidential bid from this foolish adventure. I think it's a smart move.
