TF-X / KAAN / Hürjet Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircrafts News & Discussions

Journalist: They want F-110 jet engines and F-35 fighter jets. Are you heading to Turkiye with a big gift package?

President TRUMP: I guess so, yes. Look, Turkiye is a NATO member. Some people don't see it that way, but it really is. A strong member of NATO. Yes, I'll probably do something that'll make them very happy.

Mark Rutte: Turkiye has a massive defense industry infrastructure. There are 3,000 companies operating across the Alliance and also in the United States. So, a strong partner.

The F110 engine has a market price of about US$5 million. So how much are the engines in this batch that the United States is selling to Turkey?

It is stated that an agreement worth $700 million for the supply of 80 F-110 engines to KAAN will be signed as a gesture from the Trump administration just before the NATO summit.

Each engine is estimated to be acquired at $8.75 million per unit.

One of the names blocking the transfer of F110 engines to Turkey has been revealed.

▪️A source speaking to Reuters said that Gregory Meeks, a leading Democratic member of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee and New York Congressman, did not approve the sale of F110 engines to Turkey.

▪️Meeks is at the forefront among the figures supported by AIPAC, which Israel uses to keep U.S. Congress members under control.

It needs to go through congress brother.

Its a very mess system where the legislative approval is needed, not just executive decision.

And there is corruption with foreign lobbies.

Trump is referring to the engines. He doesn't have the power to approve the export of F35s to Türkiye.

Vance is openly pointing out this fact but gets interrupted by the Orange.

So actual serious question because I really do hope KAAN becomes the Muslim and Arab countries go to fighter jet in the future but I was looking at similar engines online and Japan has prototype why doesn’t turkey look for a joint venture with a country like Japan

Because when we started developing the engine, Japan was "in hibernation", focused on developing its military-industrial complex and arms sales. Now, the TF35000 project has progressed to the point where it won't allow for technology-based participation. We can only allow cash-investing partners after this stage.

Furthermore, we know from the automotive industry that Asians aren't good at business and trade partnerships. Without exception, they all become difficult-to-manage partners when it comes to business and trade.

Learn the facts before you speak instead of barking like a dog.
China is the world's largest exporter, and East Asia is the world's largest exporting region. It's just that these countries don't like doing business with certain Muslim countries, nothing more.
In most parts of the world, doing business with Muslim-majority regions—apart from the Gulf countries—is generally not easy.
First of all, I suggest you be polite. Dogs bark, people don't. If you call me a dog, I'll treat you the way you deserve from now on!!

Getting back to the topic, I'm talking about business partnership. I'm not talking about being an honest seller. Did I call Asians dishonest sellers? No, I didn't. They are very easy to establish business relationships with, but very difficult to do business with.

KAAN is designed to have significantly better stealth capabilities than the Su-57.

Who is NATO's enemy ? Russia, meaning it will face the SU-57
and the KAAN can compete with the SU-57; in fact, with the MUM-T concept
( KAAN + KIZILELMA + ANKA-III/IV ) will even be technologically superior to Russia

Radar cross-section estimates of 5th generation Fighter Jets and their sizes against living beings from smallest to largest:

🕷️Tarantula (Spider) ▸ -40 dBsm
🇺🇸 F-22 Raptor ▸ -40dBsm
🇺🇸 F-35 Lightning II ▸ -23 dBsm
🇹🇷 KAAN ▸ -25 dBsm ... -5 dBsm target
🦅 Eagle (Bird) ▸ -20 dBsm ... -10 dBsm
🇨🇳 J-20 Mighty Dragon ▸ -20 dBsm ... -5 dBsm
🇷🇺 SU-57 Felon ▸ -10 dBsm ... 0 dBsm
🕴️Human ▸ -5dBsm ... + 5dBsm

To understand the real world difference lets take S-400's 91N6E Search radar as reference. According to the manufacturer 91N6E has a detection range of 390 km against a 4 m2 target. So it should be detecting , a F/A-18E Super Hornet (1 m2) from 275 km, the Su-57 (assuming 0.1 m2) from 155 km, and a F-22 (-40 dBsm) from 27 km.

In short, a Radar will be having between 6 to 10 times greater detection range against the Su-57 compared to F-22

KAAN utilizes a modern airframe geometry specifically engineered from the ground up to minimize its Radar Cross Section (RCS)

Why the Su-57's RCS is Higher Than Competitors
  • Exposed Engine Faces: Unlike the deep, serpentine S-duct air intakes found on the F-22 and KAAN, the Su-57 has a direct path to the engine fan blades
  • Manufacturing Fit and Finish: Closer look at production models and public airshows has revealed noticeable gaps between fuselage panels, exposed fasteners, and standard screws rather than seamlessly flush rivets
  • Design Philosophy: The Sukhoi team prioritized extreme maneuverability and heavy, versatile internal payload storage over pristine, all-aspect geometric stealth

KAAN :
MURAD-600A ( 2000+ GaN T/R modules ) .... 180-200 km against 1m2
SU-57 : NO36 BYELKA ( 1500+ GaAS T/R modules ) .... 140-160 km against 1m2

Low Priority Listening (LPI): KAAN's radar features LPI capability, making it more difficult for enemy aircraft to be detected by Radar Warning Receivers

Professionals compared the radar detection ranges of the 5th gen SU-57 against KAAN based on estimated data

In a pure head-to-head clash over open airspace:
KAAN opens fire first while remaining completely invisible to the Su-57's radar.

RCS with the best possible acceptance
KAAN : 0.0030 m2
SU-57 : 0.0700 m2

RCS with the worst possible acceptance
KAAN : 0.01 m2
SU-57 : 0.1 m2

Radar Engagement
SU-57 vs KAAN : 25 km vs 102 km

Its possible, but Japan has its own unique issue, namely export restrictions due to their post ww2 pacifism. Also that engine isn't in production, we don't know the status of that engine.

What happened to "Güçhan" ??? It was completed and built 7 engines right? It was better than F-110 ? Producing 42.000 lbf?

Those people who accused of us for being a traitor will surely never talk about Güçhan.

Wow, good chance Turkiye gets both the F-35 and large number of Kaans.

Strong Turkiye is now a priority for US. It is next to Iran and also US can now use F-35 sale to Turkiye as a stick to beat Israel over the head with

F35 are not happening Trump wont risk getting in conflict with Jewish/Greek/armenian Lobby also there is strong bipartisan agreement against the export of F35. Over 80% of both parties unconditionally support israel so the chance of the americans giving us a possibility to negate Israel's air superiority advantage is slim.
