I told you so. The Netherlands are always thrown out of competitions. They are arrogant and think they can win against supposedly lesser teams. Morocco is a much better team and the Dutch found out.

Morocco ranked 6 and Netherlands 8 as per FIFA. And ranking calculation erroneously favours European teams over African teams (I.e. European nation ranking tends to be artificially high and African ranking artificially low).

On paper, Morocco were favourites for this match.

Whats the role of Neymar in the WC ? Surely the coach can't make him sit on the bench from now onwards. He is more than 'impact substitute' forward striker.

I believe Ancelotti called him up to avoid criticism for not taking Neymar.

Neymar is in terrible shape. He can't run for more than 20 minutes, having just come back from an injury. While he could still serve as a high-quality substitute if needed at some point, that’s about it; Ancelotti should be preparing for the 2030 World Cup.
