US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

U.S. Forces Complete Another Round of Strikes Against Iran

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed an additional round of strikes against Iran, July 8, to further degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping and innocent civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. forces struck approximately 90 Iranian military targets including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along Iran’s coastline. The latest strikes follow successful execution of offensive strikes in Iran the night before.

CENTCOM forces hit approximately 80 Iranian military targets July 7, including more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats, to impose heavy costs for Iran violating the ceasefire by attacking three commercial vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and prepared to execute operations directed by the Commander in Chief.

Video of the latest strikes

So I watched Iran's "retaliation" and saw only 2-3 ballistic missiles in their response. Seems Iran's missiles have been depleted to the point waves after waves are all but over and have gone drone for their bigger retaliations which aren't that impressive either.

So as an armchair 5 star general I see this and think to myself wtf is the US waiting for? Just finish the job destroy all strategic targets and leadership (again) and be done with this and stop pausing every time they call for negotiations.

daaaannnng.

So after two months of ceasefire, both sides had replenished their ammunition supplies. First, they added sugar, then ginger, and finally arsenic.
If arsenic doesn't work, then shoot. In the eyes of our people, Trump's credibility is so low that he can't even get a single penny in a bank loan.

All those who say Iran is winning the war are the true enemies of Iran....they are inciting big mouth Iranian to open their mouths farther for easy stuffing.
Couldn't have said it any better. And I cannot believe some Iranian members here with critical thinking are actually falling for that shit.

I had so many hopes from this MoU and something inside my head still makes me think that all is not lost yet.
Houthis backed off from their B al M thing and hopefully Iran will do the same albeit with some extra love taps.
Iran at this point has no effective supreme leader. Different factions are acting in their own. Some want negotiation and some dont. So this on and off war will linger on for some time.

The War Powers Act, like most US laws, is a meme. It's best to stop bringing it up. It will never be used against the US President, now or in the future.
Midterm elections are coming up this November. Every incumbent in the House of Representatives is up for re-election.

The Vietnam war ended when the US House simply refused to vote for more funding for the Vietnam war.

We’re sorry to announce that the MOU cat has left its coma - and died. What else is new?

Baboon of Barbaria and his minions broke their pledge to waive oil sanctions on Iran. Revoked by the Treasury Dept.

They broke the ceasefire - with strikes on Iran's southern coastal posts.

They broke the understanding on navigating the Strait of Hormuz.

They broke - via the death cult - the MoU pledge to end the war "on all fronts including Lebanon”.

Baboon of Barbaria signed the MoU in Versailles and broke it during the funeral ceremonies of assassinated Leader Ayatollah Khamenei - with tens of millions of Iranians demonstrating total national cohesion.

Total control of the Strait of Hormuz already in effect.

And the Bab el-Mandeb is next.

Bottom line: Redirecting ~$2.8 trillion in war costs into the U.S. economy would dramatically shrink the PPP gap from **~$11.9 trillion to ~$4.1 trillion**, but China would still retain its position as the world’s largest economy by PPP. The U.S. share of global PPP GDP would rise from ~14.8% to ~18.3%, a significant increase—but still behind China's ~20.2%.

Both ChatGPT and DeepSeek projected similar outputs if U.S could invest at home instead of these stupid wars.

Instead of these stupid wars in west Asia, U.S could have another Germany (70 million industrial country ) inside her own borders.

So to review where we are now:

April 8: The U.S. and Iran agree to a 2-week ceasefire before Trump’s deadline to wipe out the “whole civilization”

April 11: The U.S. and Iran fail to reach an agreement after face-to-face negotiations

April 16: Trump claims “we're very close to a deal with Iran.”

April 21: Trump extends the ceasefire with Iran indefinitely

May 7: Trump says a deal with Iran “could happen any day” or it “might not happen”

May 28: Trump says “we’re close to a very good deal” with Iran

June 9: Trump claims there was a “good chance” the U.S. and Iran could sign a peace deal in “2 or 3 days”

June 14: Trump announces, “the deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!”

July 6: Trump says, “we’re either going to make a deal or we’re going to finish the job”

July 8: Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is “over” and the U.S. and Iran begin exchanging strikes yet again.
Unlike in June 2025 and February 2026, it feels as though the US this time is totally justified bombing Iran.

I don't know what madness came over the Iranians attacking the 3 oil tankers that were travelling on the Omani side.
