The War Powers Act, like most US laws, is a meme. It's best to stop bringing it up. It will never be used against the US President, now or in the future.
Couldn't have said it any better. And I cannot believe some Iranian members here with critical thinking are actually falling for that shit. All those who say Iran is winning the war are the true enemies of Iran....they are inciting big mouth Iranian to open their mouths farther for easy stuffing.
Iran at this point has no effective supreme leader. Different factions are acting in their own. Some want negotiation and some dont. So this on and off war will linger on for some time.I had so many hopes from this MoU and something inside my head still makes me think that all is not lost yet.
Houthis backed off from their B al M thing and hopefully Iran will do the same albeit with some extra love taps.
Midterm elections are coming up this November. Every incumbent in the House of Representatives is up for re-election.The War Powers Act, like most US laws, is a meme. It's best to stop bringing it up. It will never be used against the US President, now or in the future.

Unlike in June 2025 and February 2026, it feels as though the US this time is totally justified bombing Iran.So to review where we are now:
April 8: The U.S. and Iran agree to a 2-week ceasefire before Trump’s deadline to wipe out the “whole civilization”
April 11: The U.S. and Iran fail to reach an agreement after face-to-face negotiations
April 16: Trump claims “we're very close to a deal with Iran.”
April 21: Trump extends the ceasefire with Iran indefinitely
May 7: Trump says a deal with Iran “could happen any day” or it “might not happen”
May 28: Trump says “we’re close to a very good deal” with Iran
June 9: Trump claims there was a “good chance” the U.S. and Iran could sign a peace deal in “2 or 3 days”
June 14: Trump announces, “the deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!”
July 6: Trump says, “we’re either going to make a deal or we’re going to finish the job”
July 8: Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is “over” and the U.S. and Iran begin exchanging strikes yet again.
