That’s all inherited from USSR. Russia under Putin’s 25y rule only produces cheap gas, cheap propaganda. Even though, almost the entire Russia gas infra linking to the west was built by western companies especially BASF.

Orbán can leave and join any others people bloc. Nobody cares of. Just one thing is certain, Hungary economy and military will collapse immediately. But ok, Hungary can become a buffer state between rich Europe and the pariahs.

I don't think it's a good strategy. Iran donates tons of fuel to Russia. Not only that, Sakhalin has a lot of oil and Sakhalin is out of range of Ukrainian long range drones. Bombing Russia's oil refineries near Ukraine will make Russia bomb every Ukrainian power plant and plunge Ukraine into the darkness.
