Makkah Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

Token gestures don't mean anything. When India becomes 2nd largest economy in the world and major trading partners of Turkey and Saudi.
It'll make little sense for them to side with Pakistan over India.
I feel like Pakistan doesn't gain anything from this agreement but Ale Saud and to a certain extent Turkey get to use Pakistani soldiers to their advantage.
Pakistan is getting dragged into pity middle eastern proxy games between Iran and it's rivals I feel.
Naturally, judging by your screen name, you'd be very happy if Pakistan squatted next to some nala for a thousand years, devoid of ambition.

The greatest empires in the world fizzled into nothingness by virtue of their inaction whenever opportunity came knocking. Several empires are now trying to reshape world events as they see fit. Look around you - Persians, Arabs, Turks, Pakistanis, even Israelis and Indians. The game is afoot.

Meanwhile, Afghans continue Afghanning.

All Afghanistan is useful for now is simply a transit route, nothing more nothing less. Even Talibs know this. Mark my words, even 50 years from now, Arabs, Turks, Persians, Pakistanis, Central Asians will just use the place as a highway route and pit stop on the way to somewhere more useful and profitable. The Watford of Asia if you like...

Poor Iran is left with no room to maneuver ...she has to figure out who among the three is her daddy 🤣
Iran is our neighbour and being attacked by Jews and west. The populations of Turkey Pakistan and Saudi see Isreal not Iran as the enemy. In fact I hope sometime Iran can join this Muslim security zone

They should now invite Iran to join them. Muslim enemies Hindus and Jews would have sleepless nights.

Also Pakistan should put nukes in Saudi and Turkey just sayin
Shia in Pakistan exactly same like Shia in Iran. They would die but will not against go India same as Shia in Pakistan would die but will not say any world against Iran.

Iran has backstab Pakistan not one but multiple times.

Israel never attacked any Gulf country or Pakistan for a fact. It is only Iran that has attacked Pakistan directly, and all gulf countries. Suppose if Iran had nuclear they would have used it against either UAE or KSA without any second thought because there army has no central command and it is like school kids max 12 years handed over a nuclear to decide. That is why no one is Iran friend even Pakistan is just sweet but in action it is not because they know once it is over Iran will be the first one to ditch like it did in past and it is cannon fodder.

I really don’t see where this “Israel is a major threat to Türkiye” idea comes from. If Israel wanted to attack someone, they wouldn’t shy away... nobody in the region has ever been able to tell them to stop. And despite that, Türkiye has never been on their target list. We have no territorial disputes, no ideological conflict, no competing spheres of influence. Realistically, Türkiye doesn’t face any major external threat at all.

I don’t even count Greece as a serious threat. At most, you could see some tension in Cyprus, but even then Türkiye doesn’t need Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or anyone else to handle that. We’ve managed our regional issues alone for decades.

And when Pakistan had its last conflict with India, Türkiye didn’t need any “alliance,” “treaty,” or formal pact to support them politically. We did it because of our bilateral relationship.... not because of some new bloc. Keep in mind, this was before KAAN, before our new defence projects even matured.

That’s why I feel this so‑called alliance benefits Pakistan and Saudi Arabia far more than it benefits Türkiye. We don’t gain anything strategically from it, and we certainly don’t need it for our own security.
As long as we get to use Ceddin Deden during all of our war montages now, I am satisfied with the arrangement.

Beyond defence: Can Makkah pact change Pakistan economic fortune?

You may not see israel as a threat to Turkiye but the israelis DEFINITELY ser Turkiye as a threat to israel:

The Turks 100% see Israel as a threat to Türkiye. Yes, the Israelis are the instigator of this threat.

The Indians:

Gotta feel sorry for those guys, dumped by Trump, irrelevant in Mid East and now the defence pact.
Said it once and will say it again, Jaishanker has, by a very far margin, been the worst diplomat India has ever had.

Globally only real allies they have are Israel and UAE. Sums it all up, and UAE not really a military ally in the traditional sense either

I don’t think people understand how long these things actually take. Türkiye needs at least a decade for our major defence projects to fully mature, KAAN, TF‑2000, Gökbey, MIUS, the new missile families, radar systems, and the rest. Only after that kind of ecosystem is stable could anyone even start thinking about nuclear capability. There are no plans for it now, and honestly, we’ve all seen what happened to Iran. That’s not a mistake Türkiye wants to repeat.

But a decade from now? When our aerospace, missile, and deterrence programs are fully developed? At that point, Türkiye might be in a very different strategic position and far more interested in exploring nuclear options. Right now, though, it’s simply not on the agenda.

But if it was on the agenda, its not something Turkiye would ever ever advertise.
