America Must Get Out of the Middle East for Good

This war has been an unmitigated disaster for US. Your own senior retired military officers are saying this.

Keep deluding yourself. Bottom line, has the US geostrategic position improved since 10/7? Yes and unquestionably so.

-Hamas destroyed
- Hezbollah destroyed
- Houthis so degraded they wanted no part in the 38 day war
- Syria captured with a CIA asset as President
- Irans military and industrial bases destroyed, nuclear industrial base destroyed, HEU buried so deep only the US can extract it. Navy entirely destroyed. Under naval blockade with 8-9M barrels of oil passing through the Omani corridor. Half its leaders dead with the other half hiding in bunkers. Mojtaba hiding like a rat. Irans economy beyond cooked with hundreds of billions worth of infrastructure damage, 90%+ inflation, millions of unemployed, and depression level GDP contraction

The US has long since won the war. The only reason this conflict is ongoing is because Iran can hold the maritime insurance companies hostage with a single missile. An the Hormuz card is a diminishing asset for Iran with almost half the prewar oil passing through the Strait and Brent crude hovering in the $80s.

Meanwhile the US is maintaining solid growth, record high stocks, and zero damage to the mainland. The US is more powerful today than relative to all its adversaries from even 5 years ago.

There’s been ample footage of the US destroying Iranian naval ships and I won’t do the research for you.

Munitions are meant to be used in war, all of those munitions will be restocked and production is significantly ramping on the most critical munitions.

The point still remains valid, the missile force was indestructible. The USA was not capable of destroying a single missile base. Yes, for periods of time they could suppress them spending hundreds of millions to do that, only to be dug out in hours with only thousands spent on that. However that suppression rate has been degraded with the drop in numbers of long range precision strike weapons that the USA has. The USA cannot suppress Iran's missile forces again, as it did at the outset as it does not have a magazine depth that allows it to do that anymore.

The question of how much of Iran's missile production capability was destroyed is an unknown that the moment, given that Iran will have moved large portions of it's manufacturing capabilities into deep storage in the mountains for protection prior to the start of the war.

Suppression of Iranian TELs were primarily carried out by MQ-9s. Those conducted the vast majority of attacks. The US was successful in degrading Iranian missile fire to low teens and single digit numbers per day. The US didn’t have the stockpile of GBU-57s to successfully destroy the missile bases, which is primarily why entrances were attacked.

The US is not running out of long range munitions. The US used maybe a third of its entire Tomahawk/JASSM stock of 9,300+ prewar. JASSM stocks will be fully replenished by next year as full production rate is over 800/year now. Tomahawks are 600/year at full procurement and rising to 1,000/year. PRSM missiles are at 400/year and the first 1,000 Barracuda 500s are delivering next year.

Denial. The 1st stage of grief from
Losing to Iran.

Have you ever heard of strategic loss?

Mate, you achieved none of your goals ..
not one.

It’s almost impressive how quickly your DJT 2.0 🍊 was able to destroy the U.S reputation as the world’s super power and most powerful military to ever exist 😊 according to some of u Americans.

The US achieved all of its objectives:

- Destruction of Iranian nuclear industrial base and buried HEU
- Missile force heavily degraded and industrial capability destroyed
- Entire Destruction of its Navy
- Ability to project power outside its borders heavily degraded and proxies destroyed

These were the primary objectives as outlined by Trump from Feb 28.

Just because Mojtaba has been hiding in a bunker for 6 months and Iran can fire a drone at the occasional tanker doesn’t mean Iran has won. Historically, it takes years for regime removal in the Middle East.
If your basis for Iranian victory is hiding in bunkers and conducting terror attacks on shipping, then you have super low expectations for Iran.

Can't imagine the Yanks really want to pull out of the ME abandoning its child Israel and giving up the lucrative petro and arms deals profits gained there.
usa big interests in middle east started in 70s, when usa reached his peak oil and they left gold standard for usd.

now whole world is reaching peak oil, they cant go to other place for more oil, the solution is economic decrease, impoverishment: nordstream blast, tariffs and now hormuz blockade.

you would be surprised at the number of non-Americans who have also told me this, that America didn't lose in Vietnam or Afghanistan or Iran and just moved on. America-worship is a real thing.

Primary objective in Afghanistan was the defeat of Al Qaeda. That was achieved. Taliban was overthrown in a month and the US could have stayed forever. We decided to call it quits when we wouldn’t hold the Afghans hands in perpetuity. Taliban coming back to power was the failure of the Afghans not the US.

Afghan war was won because it achieved the primary objective of defeating AQ. As long as terrorists don’t use Afghanistan as a safe haven for attacking America, I could care less about the Taliban ruling Afghanistan. We already know Afghans won’t fight for their country, so why should any American care again?

Vietnam was an initial strategic defeat, but turned into a strategic victory in the long run due to close geopolitical ties today and the ultimate defeat of Soviet communism. Not to mention Vietnamese are extremely pro American in general.

Wow, what kind self-glorification is that, comparable to India.

It’s the truth. The strategic goal of the Vietnam war was to ultimately stop the spread of communism. Communism was ultimately defeated in the end, and Vietnam is a close strategic ally today.

Would personally like to see the USA leave the Middle East, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen tho.

Anyone that does is just full of hopium

Defeat of Soviet Union that was mainly caused by its failed economy is one thing and the defeat in Vietnam is another thing. It's a weird logic to say US defeat in Vietnam actually greatly helped to defeat Soviet Union.
