Part of the emerging debate about how Iran should respond. Patarames does not believe Iran can legitimately strike Israeli territory while Amir believes striking an Israeli consulate in a neighbouring country is a cop out and diverts attention from Israel to Iran.
Striking an Israeli consulate is a stupid move and will result in western press crying about Iran attacking diplomats. What should be done is a strike on IDF in occupied Palestine. This will bring the world's attention to the fact that Israel attacked an Iranian Consulate, and Iran is striking Israeli illegal occupation forces in Palestine.

I am so Goddamn angry right now.

This is what happens when you throw Hamas to the wolves and make it painfully obvious you don’t want war.

The enemy realizes you are no different than an insurgent group. You can multiply and grow, but you also take direct kinetic action on the chin with no response. Thus the obvious course of action by your enemy is to keep pounding the insurgents until they reduce in size/scope.

The night Solemani was killed was the night the West learned that Iran will not risk war for Generals.

There is a long list of Generals killed by CIA/Mossad/IDF cooperation and even longer list of attempts we likely don’t hear about (like the Quds Force Yemen commander on night of Solemani attack).

Iran lost 3 Generals today (including the next in line successors) plus up to 5 officers. Add that to the other 5-10 IRGC officers lost in last 6 months or so.

You can’t expect Iran to continue replenishing this human capital with no drop in cohesion or capability.

Iran has been playing noora kushti (WWE style) with Isreal since the early 80's.

He is kind of right,,

You have to understand Iran is trying to build up assets against Israel, multiple forces, equipment etc etc and that process is ongoing

Hezbollah is hitting Israel in the north and it needs to continue

Israel probably understands that it has lost a lot and major consequences are coming for Israel so this might as well be the time to instigate a war in the north and drag the U.S in, otherwise they will be stuck with a heavily armed Hezbollah threat from the North for a foreseeable amount of time

U.S weapons supplies are a indicator that Israel may want to spark a conflict in the north or atleast make it costly for iran

Although wars don't really resolve issues but if Iran doesn't retaliate then it will not only embold Israel but other forces in the region as well.

It's a desperate attempt to escalate the conflict and drag Iran/US/Europe into the war.

The scenario gets complicated very quickly. If the US uses assets in GCC, will Iran retaliate there, dragging them in the war also?

More than Iran, this is Israel thumbing its nose at Biden.
