US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

If Iran gives them the chance to turn it into a US territory, then I guess it will eventually become a US territory.

So, Iran mustn't give them that chance.

However, too much Iranian investment was put into Octopus Soleimani's Terror Tentacles, which gave the US the opportunity to bring its armada to the Strait.
The straight will never be a US territory. That's just Trump once again talking out of his ass

No, Iran is not starving , They are cut off . wait them out. A well practiced war tactic from the Middle Ages laying siege to your enemies restricting them from essentials. :
Iranians are not living in ancient times. This is August 2026.

Try switching off your phone and television for a week.

I don't know why Iranians living comfortably abroad and their supporters in other countries always want and expect Iranians in Iran to suffer and sacrifice everything for the pride of IRGC fanatics living abroad.

I think this no war no peace situation may well become permanent, with maybe the occasional armed flare up.. Essentially a return to pre war status quo but with Strait of Hormuz now a mini battleground.

If America really chooses to tighten the screw it can stop Iranian exports and imports en masse, maybe even pressure Turkiye and Pakistan to close land border.

Obviously Iran os a big country and can feed itself, but its economic and scientific progress will be blunted massively. America and the rest of the world will move and and of course develop alternatives to Hormuz

The short war favoured Iran and put it in a good position, but longer term, Western economic and military strength will prevail. Iran should take a deal now.
To me, this blockade of Iran by the US seems similar to the 12 years of no-fly zones over Iraq, enforced by the UK and US, which eventually hollowed out Iraq from the inside.

America looks very committed to this, and I think Israel and the Gulf countries probably also prefer this approach.

I'm going to call bogus and unsubstantiated on this one.

It is doing the rounds and appearing everywhere right now, and no one has come out to say it is a fake at all. Looks real, and I imagine some one like Trita Parsi would have done extreme due diligence on this before posting it given the issues it will raise.

Yeah, iff the USS Lincoln reports are true, moral seems really low, this may well be legit

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Very happy to see that Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan have recently, and finally, signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement. It shows how the Middle East is coming together, and how Countries will finally be able to defend themselves in a more meaningful way. Congratulations to the Great Leadership of the three Nations mentioned. THIS IS A BIG, BOLD, AND IMPORTANT FIRST STEP — WOW! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Iran Shifts From Defensive To 'Fully Offensive' Posture, Denies Trump Has Backchannel With IRGC

Summary

  • Iran goes "fully offensive": Tehran threatens escalation if diplomacy fails, after last week's military command reshuffle.
  • MoU expires: Iran says the US-Iran agreement is effectively dead & "irrelevant".
  • Trump threatens Oman: Trump warns "we'll bomb the s**t out of them."
  • Backchannel denied: Tehran rejects Trump's claim of IRGC communications.

President Trump has issued some fresh Monday remarks on Iran, after a weekend where he was relatively quiet on the conflict he launched nearly six months ago, which has long been the central controversial decision made as Commander-in-Chief, threatening to define his whole second term. In a short interview with Fox News reporter Trey Yingst, who frequently reports from Jerusalem and the Middle East, Trump threatened to bomb Oman if the Gulf country "gets in the way" of US efforts to negotiate and strike a favorable peace deal with Iran.

"I asked the president about... parallel talks that are taking place between Iran and Oman about control of the Strait of Hormuz," Yingst introduced. Trump then responded: “if Oman gets in the way [of US control in the Strait of Hormuz], we'll bomb the s**t out of them."
