New site for combine command Infrastructure? or GHQ ?

Koh-e-Suleman ranges connecting KPK, Balochistan and punjab would be ideal. You'll have easy access from Punjab as well as mountainous topography. There isn't any insurgency there as well. You'll have easy access to enough natural resources and access to food , water etc. Balochistan is good but it's too far fetched and sustaining a large presence there requires a lot of money. Unless it's somewhere near railway line.

Pakistan is blessed with some very unique and weird geography which can help defend against any aggressor but also create nightmare for fighting a insurgency. Koh-e-Soleman mountains seems a good natural barrier, but do you know what's the average height of these peaks there?

The large C&C structures are not completely useless, Turks/Egypt/China are not fools as much as the warefar changes, there is a need for combined C&C structures. And no one say countries are building these shinny building without complex tunnel system running underneath. Thinking that these large building are just some apartments which doesn't have military grade tunnels and bunkers and drone/missile facilities.
i have a question sir when ttp attacked on ghq why didnt army officer used the tunnels and secure structure to protect themselves why ghq did not have a secret hiden weapns and tunnels to protrct officers .
sir we should build our command and control under the moutain so it can withstand any weapn qithout damaging commnad structure. Buildong huge structure on a plain ground is not a good option.
sir dnt you think in oeace fime this huge hexagon is good but as we are in war like scenario its not good for us

Is that question for me? I don't know if we have tunnel network under the GHQ, there isn't a large structure like Pentagon which we can say have tunnel networks, or maybe some build where all the Corp commanders unite for meetings? I don't even know if our parliament house or President house has tunnels underneath?

We heard stories about tunnels under Kirana hills 1786994152188.png
But look at the area, now compared that with some of hills and ranges that border Baluchistan/KPK/Punjab and Sindh, those ranges are impossible to penetrate, and can have hundreds of entry exist points, those can be utilize not just for c&c but also build underground storage facilities, again i am not taking the cost in consideration here because we are not talking about something like a real project, its all hypthetical.

sir i asked that question because i thought every military structure has some secret tunnels and hiden weapons .when ttp attacked that was the question in my mind so i asked it this time. may be its off topic .

Honestly if money wasn't a issue i would move GHQ from Rawalpindi. It doesn't have to be a fancy shinny building but given the location of current GHQ, its very vulnurable to attacks, and intelligence leaks.

Islamabad, with extensive underground facilities in margalla hills.

100 percent agree. They should move out of pindi and find better location

The location of Islamabad is very risky, its surrounded by mountains for sure but its location compared to Indian air bases its very close. India can even hit Isb with long range arti. Just to give an idea, from Sri Nagar to Islamabad the distance is only roughly 160 km.

(Funds a non issue)Personally i think under the mountains in balochistan probably in Khuzdar and then the sorrouding infrastrucutre and ensure the generals are there, This would first of all give us the maximum distance from India and then also bring ecnomic prosperity and development to the region , top millitary brass is guaranteed to bring ecnomic success, would work much better then cpec(Completely Hypothetical scenario if terrorism is mananged). edit: Turbat seems better

Average height isn't that great. 3000m average. But it's great for building tunnels and storage. Just considering it's easy access from all 3 provinces, man power and Industry. I believe that Such mountains can survive very extensive bombing.

That's actually a good way of thinking, moving GHQ to Baluchistan would be a great idea but i think that main reason is definitely funds and the situation within Baluchistan itself, but like you said moving top generals and c&c structure will bring massive economic boost to the state.

And what kind of rock these mountains have? is like Granite or just regular rocks, I am asking this because we have seen US using bunker busters bombs to hit Iranian facilities to trap their uranium under the mountains. But given the ranges zig zaggy nature it will be hard to pin point without a very good intelligence network on ground and in space.

This thread is more about a possible location, i know such large structures will become vulnarable but we are just discussing a possible location for a new command and control center, as pindi become very populated.
Pakistan is a 'thin' country. Regardless of where you place it, it would not be very far from banyland. Making it farther from banyas would also make it closer to khawarij, which kinda kills the purpose.

Such fancy headquarters only make sense when you are located between two oceans and 2 countries that will sure never attack you.

I wonder how Turkiye and Egypt would be defending their Structures from a possible Long range stand-off weapons? I am sure Turkiye and Egypt must have thought this through the concerns which some members here have raised?
