RIP Dolly Parton

Was never into her type of music, but she seemed to be a wonderful human being. Giving back to her community for one thing

RIP Dolly Parton
Dollywood to create jobs for locals, and the book mobile to bring books to small mountain rural communities, to name two of the many things she did for the poor people in Appalachia.

My first job in Tennessee was at Dollywood.

RIP Dolly. She seemed a genuine generous soul and a good performer.

USA Flags lowered for a week!!

I knew exactly where Dolly Parton's tour bus parked at Dollywood.

It was where I carried my cash drawer with the $5 parking fees I collected at the park entrance.

Seen the tour bus there a few times, but never got the chance to meet Dolly Parton.

The young man I enjoyed talking with the next booth over had to quit catching rattlesnakes up in the mountains (for venom). Doctor told him if he got bit one more time, he will most likely not make it. Told me he made $200 for every venom shot he collected.

You will love to snag a job at Dollywood for the summer.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone!

For years, older people, on a budget, will work a few hours each week at Dollywood to afford camping and travel for the summer.

Dolly Rebecca Parton—the fourth of 12 children—was born January 19, 1946, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
