Brahmos : 28 year heist-How india ended up owning Russia's deadliest missile

Garbage AI slop

I think it aligns withwhat ive read. As of tody we have replaced seeker, navigation , engine and electronics with indian designs but we strated productoin with almost entirely russian systems.

Dozens of brahmos were used in sindoor and all struck their targets ddvastatingly so the replaced systems are performing to highest standards.

After last year, demand has been increased in export market

To me, key is the new brahmos air missiles, su30 can carry at least 3 of them,
BrahMos-A → ~300 km → already operational

BrahMos-A ER → estimated ~450–500 km -under testing

Land base missiles, still you can track and predict but air base, it's almost impossible

I think sea attack versions will still be dominant. But yhere is an intrresting possibility fot lca as a carrier for brahmos. Apart from su30 that is tge only jet beinv planned for brahmos carriage, but is wayyy cheaper than su30.

Funny thing is Brahmos range was limited to 300km by software alone.
The missile being a P 800 oniks , it was always a 600km missile.
No ideas why its still under testing and not already deployed with 600km range .

why isnt Russia buying this Brahmos from India when they have resorted to lobbing shovels and chapals after draining their missiles stocks. I think they have even bought missiles from north korea.

I still don't understand why Russia is not using this super weapon.
Somewhat similar to China not using the JF-17 as its own frontline fighter.

However, the basic difference is that BrahMos is ultimately intended to incorporate more Indian-made components, including the engine, seeker, electronics, and other critical systems.

Please try to differentiate between SRBMs and cruise missiles.

All of what you said is highly exaggerated. BrahMos however awesome and futureproof is no longer going to be the tip of the spear in coming years when our own scramjet-powered HCMs get ready.

Because they already produce the P-800 Onyx on which BrahMos is based on. And the fact that they use Onyx as an anti-ship missile with limited ground attack role launched from Ships and TELs for Bastion system are also anti-ship.

Russia needs drones and air/surface to surface missiles due to their depleting stockpile. Thats why they approached North Korea and Iran. Why hasnt Russia been able to accquire weapons from India which you know has independent foreign policy and does not need approval from anyone.

Well that's on Russian side to procure them.
"We are ready to fulfil an order, if we receive a request from the Russian side. These will be either missiles for the Navy or missiles for ground forces. We have sufficient capacities and we understand what the Russian side wants," he said.
