Leaving behind infants who cannot fend for themselves in danger .. even animals do not do this. Cowards ran and 15 helpless children died. You are right, in any just society, these staff won't be lectured but hanged. They were the first responders, they were the care takers, they were the public servants present at scene.

Line up all the Directors of PIMs, court martial them, terminate their licenses and confiscate their wealth, put them in jail. Include the Fire brigade incharge in this too, the fire brigade is hardly 10 minutes away from PIMs in Islamabad.

What a pathetic display from some people here. A tragedy has struck, yet they still cannot resist dragging politics into it and exposing their gutter mentality. At least have the basic decency to respect the victims and their families.

I was being paid Rs. 45,000 during my house job, and even that was nowhere near enough. Junior Doctors today are still being paid around Rs. 70,000, which barely covers basic living and commuting costs. At one point, my salary barely covered my fuel.

So don't lecture staff about some imaginary obligation to risk their lives. I had a duty to my patients, but I also had a duty to stay alive.

Most of the staff did what they could under the circumstances. Everything beyond that is hearsay from people who weren't even there.

And here's the part people conveniently ignore: the people running these hospitals at the top are often political appointments under the civilian system you defend so passionately. They control the administration, staffing, resources, and safety standards, while junior doctors are left underpaid, overworked, and expected to take the blame when the system fails.

So if you want accountability, look up the chain of command. Don't dump the failures of an entire hospital system onto the junior doctors standing at the bottom of it.

I feel standard operating procedures were clearly not followed and some people need to answer sewrious questions. Its a horrific situation for the families and they need answers.
I like to see the pretense you have on this thread showing concerns for innocent babies of Pakistan - We have seen the concern you have shown for the 1000s of kids that were shot in incubators or had their life support machines cut off in Palestine. Is that common in stolen land you call Israel? Is that even allowed?
