A new New York Times-Siena University poll released on Tuesday found Democrats walloping Republicans on the generic congressional ballot by 51 to 43%.
The poll conducted between Sept. 8 and Sept. 13 also found that among the 1,503 likely voters surveyed nationwide, 52% would support a Democrat for governor while 41% would support a Republican. Republicans fared best in the race for the Senate, with Democrats leading by six points, 49 to 43%.....
.....“The erosion among Republicans is especially stark. While 72 percent of Republicans said in January that the economy was better than it had been the prior year, only 29 percent of Republicans said so now,” noted The Times’ summary of the poll.
