Bangladesh: Two Soldiers Killed in Tank Firing Accident in Chattogram

Its got nothing to do with the tank 'explosion' in thai cambo conflict. That tank was used as artillery rather than as a support role of a tank. If you use your ak47 as a primary melee weapon for bashing skulls in and bend the barrel then shoot and blow ur face up, thats on you.

We already know how perceptive you are and usually how wrong but Bangladesh did procure 40 000 tons of ammunition from Pakistan during the Interim Government and if it is a defective ammo issue then it most likely came from that batch.

This article was published by an Indian with an imaginary source called "reliable military source".

A proper investigation should be conducted and ISPR should disclose the finding. If Pakistan provided sub-standard ammunition, Bd can seek legal actions and halt future procurement.

I don't believe Bharti source. Period.

However. This is a t 59... the tank here is a base with 100mm gun. You can differentiate it with the bore evacuator at the base of the barrel.

105mm comes with the evacuator at the tip

Not all. The tank involved in the incident is base type 59. Probably in worse conditions than service tanks as they were for training grounds.

Too bad the tank in question has the original 100mm gun and not 125 so youre just lying through your teeth

Barrel evacuator is at the bottom. Reminiscent of the base type 59s. On type 69s theyre at barrel tip. 125mm guns of t59s have it in the middle of the barrel

Thanks. I was under the impression that all t59 and t69 were upgraded.
You were under the right impression.

He is right. Look at the gun, doesn't match. The exploded tank is un-upgraded base version.

Also, no side skirt on the exploded tank. Which were added to the upgraded Durjoy version.
Type 69 II G with 105 mm L7 .

Been around those tanks long enough to know them.

The only Type 59 based training units was stationed at Bogra not Hatajari. Even though I believe these units has been withdrawn from training duties to be upgraded.

There’s plenty of pictures of them online so you can look around and confirm

All Type 69's were upgraded in early 2000's to Type 69 MKIIG standard.

1. Look at the Bore evacuator is at middle of the L7 gun. Very distinct compared to the legacy soviet gun.

2. ERA stack is also differs compared to upgraded 59's.

3. Look at the rear cage. Not available on the legacy 59's

Though you can still argue that all Type 69's are Type 59 since Type 69 was actually an chinese upgrade to the Soviet Type 59 design.

But that would be like saying your 1st wife is your 2nd wife 😁
