Look, the UAE is sand and oil. Its real importance is due to its vicinity to Iran. Nearly all dollar priced goods imported to Iran have been funneled through UAE. All dollar transactions as well. 90 million people imported from and paid markups to a sand statelet of less than 1 million. UAE has been a money laundering and syphoning operation for a long time. where ever there is a lie in figures, you will find a corrupt accountant and auditor near it!

and it gets better, law has allowed them loopholes!

auditors will say, it is not our responsibility, and will get away with any type of fraud, 100% of the time!

hard to imagine, during 100 years of existence of auditing occupation, only one major firm was caught lying (Anderson Cooper)

in other words, lies Anderson Cooper (or Arthur Andersen) told, were hard even for the courts to handle!

that was not the point, although, you are right with your observation!


that ice rink shows (even though it is a small matter, almost every major city has one), this port city, which is not a manufacturing hub; generates more money from activities in-organically, which is not a characteristic of any port city with large manufacturing capacity (that too in the middle of the desert, without surplus water or strategic location!)
it is a constant struggle to maintain such a project in that environment, leaving no questions for the consumption of large amounts of cash! it is madness with a robust purpose (Quite literally!)

for instance, Dubai port does not sit at the mouth/entrance of SOH, still it can manage very heavy amount of trade!

how? bec. it can trade in cash, without any paper trail (unlike its competitors!)

Here is what he wants to do for Iran to be a rich, prosperous and successful country that would "surpass Japan and South Korea" (from his own words):

- Total dismantling of Iran's military capability from A to Z

- Total dismantling of Iran's ballistic missiles and allow US and Israeli companies to verify that

- Dismantling of the ground forces, navy and air aerospace forces and hire Blackwater mercenaries to "protect" Iran with military bases and foreign air forces to patrol Iran's skies with no Iranian interference

- Total dismantling of Iran's nuclear sites including power plants and raze them to the ground

- Pay 40 billions per year to the US as "compensation" for the Islamic Republic and 100 billions to Israel per year

- "Restitute" Iranian islands to UAE and make a joint Israeli military and spying base on these islands

- Allow American and Israeli traders to speculate on Iranian food and water

- Agree to not rebuild any military and nuclear capability including buying simple handguns for the next 2500 years

All of this in exchange of keeping him in power
