Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

really?! if this senior official is so smart, why did'nt he make a tweet before Houthis did their march towards Bab al Mandeb!

I mean, it is not smart, if you are telling us, if all this has happened!

Great game, my A**!

only great game, is the game, in which we are fooled!
So you are in favour of Saudi collapsing?

Just a simple answer

So you are in favour of Saudi collapsing?

Just a simple answer

im in favor of Pak. propering (is that even a choice for Pak. to make?!)

are you even allowed to ask that question!

KSA is not dear to me, bec. I have a transactional relation with them!

in other words, I cant decide the utility of the trade with KSA, only KSA can decide my utility!

so, no...I will take Pak, not KSA!

So you are in favour of Saudi collapsing?

Just a simple answer
Flippinf your argument!

KSA, wins.. somehow Pak. sends forces for Houthis rebels (which it should, if it favors Pak.!)

then what, Pak. should its send forces to IR also, would that make Pak. strong?!

and then whats next, Pak. should make forces to AFrica as well?!!

where this will end?

it will end, the moment Pak. asks for the right assets, price and justified wealth transfer in return!

help KSA too, but I wouldnt want to weaken PAk. economically!

That was not the question

Do you want to see Saudi significantly weaken from whatever your perch is?

Just straightforward response

Saudia militarily weakening or strengthening is not my objective, my obejctive is PAk., if PAk. is stronger, no body will weaken!

now, the question is, PAk. weakining at the cost of KSA strengthening, why is that even a question for you!

please dont waste a second to answer!

Seyed M. Marandi: Houthis Expanding Fast & Iran Set to Escalate Big

Interview with Professor Sayed Muhammad Marandi
Host: Glenn Diesen
Date: September 12, 2026
Topic: Developments in Yemen, Iran, and the wider regional/geopolitical situation

The conversation focuses on the widening geopolitical conflict in West Asia involving Iran, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, framing the situation as an interconnected struggle against Western hegemony.

The main points discussed by the host and speaker include:
  • The Situation in Yemen: Professor Marandi states that the Ansarallah (Houthi) movement has achieved stunning territorial and strategic gains, effectively securing control over the Red Sea and the Bab-el-Mandeb strait. Their rapid advances are attributed to immense popular legitimacy gained from supporting Palestine against Israel, causing the morale of Saudi-backed forces to collapse.
  • Economic and Energy Warfare: Yemen's retaliatory strikes have severely damaged Saudi Arabia's critical infrastructure, including the East-West pipeline and various oil refineries. This, combined with high expenditures on failed mega-projects, is placing immense economic pressure on the Saudi regime.
  • Iran's Strategic Shift: Ever since a new chair was appointed to its Supreme National Security Council, Iran has moved toward a disproportionate offensive posture. Iran is tightening its grip over the Strait of Hormuz by restricting oil and resource shipments from hostile Gulf states.
  • The Global Picture & BRICS: The conflict is framed as a symptom of a larger shift from a unipolar to a multipolar world order. Global summits like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS summit in India are highlighted as key platforms where alternative political, financial, and technological institutions are successfully bypassing the Western-led system.
  • Media and Narrative Control: Both speakers critique Western media as a state-controlled propaganda apparatus that uses delegitimizing language (e.g., labeling governments as "regimes" or "rebels") to justify failed foreign policies and mask a deeper structural crisis of Western legitimacy.

Saudia militarily weakening or strengthening is not my objective, my obejctive is PAk., if PAk. is stronger, no body will weaken!

Yes but Pak this moment, in this present reality needs Saudi and vice versa

So I have no clue what you plainly advocate other than a generic lament, of which is not useful

right!!! you are asking if KSA should matter more to any Pakistani?!!

do you think, is that it even a sane or right question to ask to any PAkistani?!!

PAk. is my first and last choice, IR and KSA, go to hell!

I will only look to maximize PAk. interests, which will balance all other things, eventually!

BTW, that is a, 'general lament' for you!

suppose Pak. goes all in for KSA protection, can you please show, how is that even practically possible for Pakistan?!!

I mean we can argue on anything, which can be done eventually!

rest are just hopes, biases and wishes (including mine of Pak. maximizing her own economic interests, which is a general lament to you!)

this BTW has opened up a new angle in this discussion where, asking maximization of Pak. interests, would some how, result in a complete destruction of KSA! could you answer this!

Everything you say is a maximilist hypothetical

You think any nation lives as in island unrelated to it's surroundings

One last time, since you care so much for Pakistan interests so passionately is it in Pakistani interests for Saudi to have oil production collapsed?

That's the question, change the goalposts if you really want to.

Too late for 'Yemeni Army" to demonstrate this. Ansarullah already control most of the Red Sea coast now.
Yes, it's like how the TTP once established control over large parts of FATA, until it was eventually driven out and FATA was formally merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018.

Before that happened, the anti-Pakistan doom-sayers were telling us it was “too late” for Pakistan — especially when Pakistan decided to negotiate with the militants and enter peace agreements in Waziristan.

Yet Pakistan eventually changed strategy, launched major military operations, pushed the TTP out of its strongholds and then proceeded with the political and constitutional integration of the former FATA.

So perhaps people should stop assuming that because an insurgent group controls territory today, that means the situation is permanently irreversible.

this answer has two parts:
1. no, you are asking this question after Houthis have captured everything. Pak. should do utmost to protect, oil interests in KSA (that is straight forward as that) and I have said before, PAk. should even send forces to fight Houthis to protect her interests

2. now the second and the most important part, why is Pak. solely dependent on one line of oil supply, why is that even a Pak. concern that Houthis has have damaged oil fields, why?

can you ask why?!

now, I have answered every time, you have asked a question,

lets see, if you can aswer my question

lets see, how deep you can go with your 'general lament'

what are you implying by , maxim. hypothetical? and what right do you have to call my argument 'hypothetical' as against real?!!!

I mean, all the countries in the world are doing what we are doing now, or, they are max. there own interest, which you are calling, 'max. hypothetical' position?!
