I don't know. Maybe a combination of crypto, physical cash and gold ? There were reports of the US cracking down on crypto wallets used by Iranians and occasional flights full of cash/gold to Tehran.

Why Oil hasn’t spiked to $150 is entirety down to Trump exhausting the SPR of not just USA but also of allies.

Whilst this puts most of the short term pressure on Iran - it leaves US and its allies with fewer options beyond December.

So, if Iran can survive upto January - Iran will have the upper hand.

By then SPR will have been exhausted and interest rates will start biting hard.

IRGC has made the right call.
