Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

The faujews and the low testosterone uncs here can keep gloating.

Fact: PTI is the biggest political party in KPK by any margin. ANP and JUI-F, the other players don't support this too unless they wanna be ostracized in KPK.

This shit establishment pulled, they not just further uplifted IK's stature but also Sohail Afridi's. This faujew imposed setup is bound to fail and let's see who has the last laugh here.
Why do you assume anyone is laughing or is even seeking the last laugh? This is all very serious. There is nothing here for any party to "gloat" about, no cult to proclaim fealty to, no sloganeering to default to.

There is but the blank canvas of nationhood. It is time for all Pakistanis to contribute to that in a reasoned and dignified manner. This means putting the interests of Pakistan ahead of anything else. That, in my opinion, is something that has been missing from the discourse for quite some time now.

The following article should be an eye opener to those who still believe that Imran Khan and his cult are some intelligent mature politicians. The list of follies by the Idiot Khan are too long starting from late 2021 when the first rumors of the Establishment distancing itself from its creation.
This article shows again how stupid the cult 'political party' is. It really is mind boggling stupidity. And the few decent people left in the party like the Chairman Gohar must be wondering how he ended up with such a stupid bunch.

ISLAMABAD: The imposition of governor’s rule and emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has dealt a major political blow to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which is believed to have lost an opportunity to protect its provincial government and secure important concessions for its jailed founder Imran Khan.

Sources within the party admit that the recent talks had offered the possibility of a meeting with Imran Khan, immediate release of his sisters, normalisation of meetings with the former prime minister and arrangements for his medical treatment, including hospitalisation if recommended by the doctors.

Assurances on these matters were discussed, but the failure to reach a final agreement meant that none of the anticipated concessions materialised.

The breakdown also cost the PTI an opportunity to defuse the confrontation with the federal government and potentially preserve its government in the province, its political stronghold.

Two figures whose roles are discussed by some as responsible for the present situation are Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Sohail Afridi.

Achakzai’s insistence on meeting Imran Khan before calling off the planned march emerged as a major sticking point. While access to the PTI founder was central to the party’s demands, the insistence on the meeting as a precondition complicated efforts to reach an immediate settlement.

Afridi’s confrontational position also contributed to the widening confrontation. His harsh statements, particularly against the counterterrorism policy, added to tensions at a time when negotiations offered a possible way out of the crisis.

The dispute over counterterrorism remained a major point of contention between the federal and provincial governments. The Centre, including the security institutions, accused the KP administration of failing to cooperate adequately in combating militancy, while Afridi resisted the federal government’s position and opposed measures that it considered an infringement on provincial autonomy.

“Had the talks succeeded, the PTI could have secured progress on issues directly affecting Imran Khan and his family while retaining control of the provincial administration,” said a source, adding, “Instead, the failure to reach an agreement led to the imposition of governor’s rule, stripping the party of its most significant remaining platform of governmental power.”

The development has raised questions about the party’s negotiating strategy and whether greater flexibility over the sequence and conditions of the talks could have produced a different outcome.

For the PTI, the consequences extend beyond losing control of the provincial government. KP has been central to the party’s political strength and organisational presence since it lost power at the federal level. Its removal from provincial office further narrows its institutional space at a time when its politics remain focused on Imran Khan’s imprisonment and demands for relief.

The failed negotiations have thus left the party facing a major political setback without securing the concessions that had been under discussion. What might have become an agreement offering relief to Imran Khan and preserving the KP government has instead ended with the loss of the party’s principal provincial stronghold.

Well these beautiful words are of no use when a certain part of the population forces it's will on the other part. Then the blowback comes. It's basic law of nature.

Anyone with functional brain cells can see and realise that overthrowing of PTI government has resulted into one thing in KPK:

Imran Khan who already is revered there, his stature has further gone up and so has Sohail Afridis. ANP and JUI-F aren't even supporting this repression tactics in KP. People are already saying that Police and paramilitaries deployed here in KP are masked Punjabis coming to repress Pashtuns ( not saying it's true but it's the sentiment ). It doesn't take much to guess what follows after.

I quoted that The News article which had even the PTI guys (secretly) admitting that they screwed up the recent negotiations which would have resulted in far better outcomes for PTI than currently happening. By designating a person like Achakzai, Imran had once again indicated his narrow provincialism/ethnocentricity along with ignoring Achakzai's generally anti-Pakistan past. Such a patriot Imran is. NOT!

Also, your post reeks of a threat of another Mujib ur Rehman like situation. Won't happen. Geography and ethnicities are different this time. And also not even 50% of the KPK people had voted for Imran Khan in 2024 despite the year given to him megaphone by the stupidity of the Establishment. Pakistan is not going anywhere. It is far bigger and stronger than any Sharifs or Bhuttos or the likes of Imran Khan. The Establishment had cut the once mighty PPP of ZAB to its size. The Idiot Khan is a small fry in comparison.

Unc, I say what I see. I have automobiles sales and purchase business in KP and Balochistan and my network with guys makes me more well known than most here to the public sentiment. If you really think all what u have written is true, than my sincere condolences to you unc

What might have become an agreement offering relief to Imran Khan...
Actually, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has already offered medical relief to Imran Khan by ordering the govt to shift him to a private-based Shifa hospital in Islamabad. Instead, the govt took him to another govt-based hospital (PIMS), thus directly violating the Supreme Court's orders. So much for their "sincerity" & adherence to the rule of law. 🙄

"condolences" for me saying that 'Pakistan is not going anywhere"? Interesting choice of word.
You gave your anedoctal evidence and let me give my own: Met a mature wise tourist in Skardu last year. He was from Dera Ismail Khan. He was sick and tired of the PTI regime in KPK. Your evidence is no more valid than mine. Factually speaking, Imran only polled 30% nationally in the 2024 elections in Pakistan and barely around 50% in his stronghold of KPK. You are free to make him like another MA Jinnah but he is not. He, due to his utter lack of brains, has put himself into a corner--actually, in a prison.

Unc, his party held more than 2/3rd majority in KPK. You are an overseas guy from Karachi of all places, ur opinion on KPK is invalid anw as you can't even understand the local language. How'd you even understand the local sentiments unc.

Unlike you, I support people's democratic rights. You are sitting in US, reaping the benefits of democracy and shoving autocracy on us? Hypocritical Unc

Anyways, let's wait and see Unc

What follows next? Genuine query.
