Bhai, it's still like that in KPK. Even Maulana Fazal Rahman cannot even have a corner meeting in there (especially in 12 districts) leave alone running a whole election campaign. Same applies to ANP, another very old political party in KPK. They have lost a number of office holders or their close kins in TTP terrorist attacks. There has not been a single terrorist attack on PTI gatherings in KPK.
Their actions, statements, and roles offer more than enough evidence that PTI and TTP are the two sides of the same coin.

in China an individual can not sell minerals they find. In US some have ownership to sell subsurface natural resources. Are you saying some locals can camp on a mountain who does not even has to purchase a land has every right to claim ownership of its resources? What kind of fkery is this? Why should I have to pay so much money to live on a small piece of land when someone in a village can claim ownership of entire fking mountain worth 100s of millions of dollars?
These minerals in local market are just dirty cheap, the real money comes from exporting to US EU or China which requires alot of geopolitical chess games. These are not apples and oranges that can be harvested and sold.

I have no issue with mining and REM extraction. I am all in favour. What I am disgusted by in that picture is Asim Munir and his extra constitutional over reach. Shehbaz Sharif has every right to be selling those minerals - Asim Munir does not.

Wherever natural resources are extracted, the common man is screwed. Norway and Libya are the only exceptions that come to mind.

I would say we should try to learn from thier example. Where the natural resources of a land are extracted, the whole nation should see maximum benefit.

1. Refined products should be sold not raw materials (where possible). This brings in more revenue and generates multiple supporting industries.

2. Those who's lands it comes out of should be stakeholders not just compensated. If everyone working on infrastructure projects and gas in Balochistan was Baloch, there would not be an insurgencym

3. The revenue generated from finite resources should be invested for the future, not spent on the present. See Norway and Dubai for excellent examples.

Now I'm not foolish enough to think PTI was ever going to deliver this Nirvana, but I suspect they'd have stolen less than Shebaz Sharif. Even showbaz is going to to watch his fingers around Asim Munir.
