Azerbaijan’s school hijab ban: What’s behind it, and what’s next?

He didn't claim to hate the west or western culture - you did.

And yet you live in the west, which is why you are a hypocrite and he is not.

Is that so difficult to understand?
Idiot, I do not mind taking advantage of western society like their education, healthcare, and pension.

But not culturally - bikinis, alcohol, women looking like prostitutes, dancing etc.

This is nothing new. It is precisely this mindset for the past 1400 years that has caused what you now conveniently call "islamophobia".

Making others suffer and destroying their culture is par for the course for people like you. It is what you have always done.

And so it should be

The mistake is backing off

When you have enemies like hindutva or Zionists or white supremacists What's the point in backing off???

When you have militant atheist's or Communists or murtads you can't be weak

The Muslim world is rising, it will rise again and we have to be ready and hateful if our enemies

Muslims have plenty of minorities to target if our populations are harmed

So let me get this straight - a Muslim country banned the hijab, and in return you want to target non muslims elsewhere?

You do know that it isn't Hindus or atheists or Zionists or white supremacists that banned hijab in Azerbaijan, right?

If this fckr's wife can cover her head in presence of pope, the female students in Azerbaijan should wear hijab to wherever they want

I believe women should be able to wear Hijabs in schools and universities.
A fundamental principle of modern secular societies is religious freedom—specifically, the right of citizens to choose their own religious beliefs.

However, there are certain prerequisites:
1. The religion must be legal. This refers to the state's general religious policies rather than regulations targeting any specific religion.
2. Citizens must possess full civic autonomy before they can independently choose a religion.
This gives rise to an issue: minors do not possess full civic autonomy. Consequently, their religious beliefs are effectively determined by their families, environments, or guardians, rather than by their own choices.
For this reason, in many secular nations, the involvement of minors in religious matters is strictly restricted or even prohibited.

If we view the hijab as a religious matter for Muslims, then it does indeed present an issue in schools within secular states, given that the individuals involved are minors.

But,
if a country were to ban only Muslims from wearing the hijab while permitting other religious symbols among minors, then I would agree that this constitutes textbook religious discrimination.
But if they were to simultaneously prohibit all minors from engaging in religious practices, then I—as a secularist—would find that acceptable.

You are Wahabi and not Shia. Please refrain from commenting upon other sects.

I am a Muslim only, if you are looking for a label, Pakistanis like to call people like me "Quranist". I intend to convert you all back to original path, the one Muslims were following before the Persian conspiracies and intrigues. Shia Sunni Wahabi Barelvi etc etc are all man made.

Fine do it at your time and pace but again Azerbaijan is 85 percent Shia.

Someday everyone will have to listen to reasoning and accept it. They will understand the contradictions. There is no other choice anymore. Cleansing has started already, whether we wanted it or not.

Anyways, even if it were Christian Nuns being barred from wearing their traditional head gear, I would support their right to wear it.

If I am present there physically, by physical intervention. If I read it somewhere and can write about it, by writing.

Fridays are normally busy in Pakistan listening to sermons full of contradictions.

Don't go there if you don't like how they run things there.

Not sure the world is ready to listen to Pakistanis on how to treat women. and i am sure hell determined that it doesn't reach that stage.
