A Democrat president will not want to prolong the war and can just blame Trump for Iran getting nuclear bombs. Having lied about destroying all the HEU.

A democratic base is very left wing and anti war now.

Without the base no president can win the party’s primary.

Aside US and Israel that just repeat daily about Irán shouldn't have nuclear weapons, the rest of western countries keep an eloquent silence. Probably most of western secret services have reported to their governments that nuclear thresold have been trespassed months ago.

Publicly EU chancilleries would support US or Irán position, but everyone knows that Irán have been out of control more than half of year, and at that moment there were 400 60% enriched uranium... So you can extrapolate how much stock of higher enriched uranium must keep Irán in any other part of that crazy big country.

So why this Iranian ambivalence about nuclear weapons? Seems like for decades now Iran wants nuclear weapons while also not wanting nuclear weapons, which has led to the current war.

Iran should decide! Either it goes for nukes and lives with the consequences, like North Korea ,or it abandons it's pursuit of nuclear weapons and the West stops having issues with Iran. Iran got attacked by the West when it doesn't clearly have nukes, which is a bit of irans fault,because the ambiguity that created conditions for war were created by Iran. Respectfully.

Iran is not a person. Iran state are a lot of people with different views. I think like in Russia, rich elites often have to calm down warmongering of middle ranks.

Anyway, Iran world location is different than North Korea, they can never achieve same deterrence with nukes than NK, because they are more far from usa mainland.

But It is much easier to train crews for launching missiles than pilots or even armored vehicles drivers.

You can bet Irán has even simulators to train crews about timing, wiring, programming, fueling and checks before launch.

Any pilot or driver needs hundreds of hours to understand basic mechanics, physics before piloting or driving to get enough skill from a basic security to combat readiness skill.

And remember most of hardware today includes test modes that can help to learn crews without being displaced to any simulator. So any underground launcher stored with electric power could help any newbie crew how to operate them before entering action.

In few weeks with all launchers you can train even a monkey the basics to launch a missile. If Houthies and Hizbollah warriors that are not even University graduates can do It successfully, iranians will do also. And I am pretty sure that volunteers can be counted by tens of thousands.
