Makkah Defence Alliance: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

US and Israel slapped them hard, Iran has stood up to them to their credit but look at the cost, their economy and welfare of their people.
I sincerely wish that they go "secular" again. The university students in Ankara attending the Juma Namaz is orders of higher than their counterparts in Tehran....

Will this alliance deter and prevent India from attacking in the future?

I hope that If India tries something, the alliance will kick out indian workers from GCC and cut oil and gas to india. Saudi/GCC don't even have to send troops just do those two things and India will suffer greatly.

Saudi might do nothing !

Opinion polls will shock people

It's already causing pause, Saudi will owe Pakistan support proportionate to what has been given

Unfortunately - we have local Pakistani politics mixed in with sectarian loyalties outside of Pakistan, along with some seriously unrealistic impressions of Pakistanis(by being from Pakistan) overestimated their actual worth - economic leeway OR simply repeating the same ad nauseum slogans instead of actually seeing this as the tectonic plates moving and open "frenemy" games afoot.

But I guess it's easier to cite usual political , sectarian or nationalist scripts - less load on the brain and much easier to accept for the ego.

India's currency exchange rate has been continuously falling, almost reaching 100 rupees to the US dollar. Modi's dream of rising has shattered, and now the country can only rely on Indians working abroad to earn foreign exchange and sustain the domestic economic situation.

This is a very dangerous point of view!

In international relations, interactions between states are, at their core, immediate exchanges of interests. Neither side owes the other anything! Once you start harboring the belief that the other party "owes" you, the relationship is bound to collapse rapidly. This is not merely my personal opinion; it is a lesson drawn from history.

The Soviets believed that it was precisely their selfless and substantial aid that enabled the PRC to win the war and begin its development—which then led to a series of "unreasonable" demands that crossed certain boundaries... and we all know what happened afterward.

The Turks believe that it was their robust support and assistance that allowed Azerbaijan to win the Nagorno-Karabakh War—and now... the relationship between the two sides is beginning to undergo some subtle shifts...

If too many Pakistanis come to hold the same view as you do, then the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia could well be the next one to follow this path...

With all due respect, you don't understand the depth of the relationship between KSA and Pakistan. It supersedes mere material interests. Sometimes, bonds are forged by higher, more divine principles.

As for this, I don’t need to have a deep understanding of the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

This is a human instinct! No one is an exception.

If you have any doubts about this, I suggest you read through this entire thread from beginning to end. Take a close look at how the thinking of the very same individuals has evolved—many people in this thread have expressed views later on that are the complete opposite of what they held earlier!

You cannot compare Azerbaijan and Turkey's relationship to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia's. Not at all. Making that comparison is the biggest mistake you can make when looking at Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The very foundation of this relationship is forged in unyielding religiosity, far exceeding any conventional comparison.

By the way, Azerbaijan and Turkey's relationship will be fine. This is a storm in a cup of tea.
