Iran was probably boiling and agigated about the Israel's behavior during this Gaza, and Israel's attack on Iran's consulate in Syria might've crossed an actual Iranian "red line", triggering Iran to react militarily and directly.
I think for Iran (and the resistance axis), this war is in phases, and different phases call for different actions, strategies, plans, and risks. Israel attacking Iran's consulate in Syria has probably made Iran move on to executing more advanced strategies and actions- Hezbollah firing heavier and more frequent rockets at Israel and Iron dome sites preceded these 150 Iranian drones i'm hearing were just fired at Israel-we are either now in the start of a new phase of this war, or the new phase is peaking or about to transition to the next phase- the war looks considerably different from the 1st month of it- Gaza fighting is winding down overall, while fighting between the IDF and Hezbollah/Lebanon seems to be heating up/increasing, Israel vs Iran is also starting...it seem this war wants or needs to go regional because it ends with peace and a new and proper Palestinian existence in Palestine.
