Israeli officials signaling for citizens to keep calm as schools closed and gatherings limited

Israeli officials are telling residents not to panic and to take caution as Iran launches dozens of drones toward Israel, according to CNN's Clarissa Ward.

Schools, universities and camps are closed in Israel, and there's a ban on gatherings of more than 1,000 people.

"Everyone here being urged just to keep a close eye on the news, on their phones and pay attention to what they're told to do," she reported from Tel Aviv.

The Israel Defense Forces said earlier on Saturday educational activities in Israel would be suspended and there would be limited gatherings amid fears of an attack from Iran.

The difference between Iran and Israel: Iran hits military installations while Israel hits mosques, homes and hospitals.

Even a blind person understand who is the vile agressor here. Not least who supports the wrong side.

It seems to be they informed the US of the size of the attack to limit the damage to Israel. I think this is a strong response for deterrent, especially if BMs have not been used.

It’s in line with what I expected. I would have taken 100 less drones in exchange for 10 BMs.

But Iran didn’t want to escalate into war. The fact they even did such an attack is a first for such a country.

The question becomes if Israel hits Iran at all, will Iran respond?

Like in the Solemani retaliation, the US seems to know exactly whats being targeted. So either they can pin point trajectory or its a tip off to reduce casualties?

Interceptions actively happening over Tel Alviv right now…

You don't understand modern conflict.. Do you think they don't have manpad's... What makes you think they are completely naked for air attack... Stop the wrong fantasy
You have a worse understanding than me then.

MANPADs don't have a huge effective rage against modern fighters, you need dedicated SAMs systems like the S300/400 or the Parriot.

Unlike the Russians, the Israelis not only have stealth fighters in operation, they also won't make the mistake of flying low enough to get shot down easily.
