Israel is a small county. They aren't going to broadcast the damage to their enemies. Their deterrence factor relies on the advantage they have in their Air Force. If runways get destoryed, they're most certainly not going to tell anyone and will quietly try to restore them to be operational.

One thing they will seek revenge later potentially. But tbh I don't see what they can do right now. Besides just sit down and accept the consequences for their reckless actions.

Questions everyone:

1) What are the likelihood of a major Israeli response against Iranian soil and especially nuclear sites? If Israel attempts it and strikes not only nuclear sites but even military sites, doesnt it mean deterrence have failed?

100% at this point, nuclear facilties is a coin flip.

2) How well equipped is Iran's air defence? Did they aquire the S-300 from Russia? I know that Iran has developed its own AD system BAVAR, but no one really knows how potent it is. Its not really been tested from what I know.

Iran should do reasonably well since Israel doesn’t have saturation capabilities by itself. Iran’s biggest weakness is ABM. It’s still developing.

That being said, I imagine Iranian sites will take hits as well.
