I just went and spoke to one guy at the pro-Palestinian student encampment at Australian National University in Canberra. The ANU has given them a deadline until 5pm today to vacate but they have no intention to comply. There was an Asian looking reporter and cameraman nearby so this is getting exposure in Asia also.

Most of the students there were white. I offered a donation and they said thanks but please donate to Gaza instead. These students around the world have more guts than the pathetic Muslim rulers.
 

Genocide Joe wouldn't accept a genocide is taking place in Gaza even if Israel said it is.​

    Francesca Albanese, UN special rapporteur for the Palestinian territory, said some government officials would not admit that genocide is being carried out in Gaza even if Israel admitted to its crimes in official diplomatic correspondence.
    “Some state officials would not admit that Israel is committing genocide even if the [government] of Israel sent them a Note Verbale with their genocidal intent explicated,” Albanese wrote in a post on social media.
    “Wake up: Palestinians have been killed, maimed, abused, displaced, oppressed since even before the establishment of the State of Israel,” the rapporteur added.

The Israeli military leadership think they can wear Hamas down now that they have secured control over the Rafah crossing.

But they still don't realise Hamas can manufacture more weapons locally... And they haven't secured the entire 'Philadelphia Axis' so there is still some scope for tunnels (if Egypt doesn't flood them).

Sayyad-2C has 75km range (up to 30km altitude) and is capable of reaching speeds of mach 4.5

can destroy any Israeli drone in operation and have success against Israeli tanker aircraft, but probably not much success against F-15 or F-35

True. Egyptians have been playing a double game. I read somewhere that a turbulent, anti-Israel Gaza is a 'hedge' against Israel and that makes sense if you think about it. Also, I have noticed that Israeli govt officials have been generally quiet about the Egyptian duplicity, presumably to deal with Egypt later and not to add to the current low morale in Israel. But in the Israeli blogspace you'd sometimes see anger toward Egypt with expressions like 'Israel needs more land. Let's take Sinai back'. @GoMig-21

Right. And as much as many of us on this forum would want to, the Resistance against Israel doesn't seem to target ordinary Israelis to the extent possible. I tend to think that's because the Resistance doesn't want to drag the reluctant Americans too much into the war, which is Netanyahu's wish. Israel dies through a prolonged war of attrition. So no need killing the mosquito with a hammer unless really have to.

I am not sure the new Gaza pier can be used for that. Just think of the scenario of herding 1.5+ million people onto boats and the nightmarish logistics and the grave threat to those who would try to herd the Gazans onto the boats. American soldiers are there around the pier as juicy targets. Biden has yet to truly see the effects of the US Marines dead at the Kabul Airport in mid 2021--watch the upcoming election debates and political ads--and so to risk more Americans will absolutely be a lethal blow to his campaign. IMHO, the pier is partly for humanitarian reasons, partly for the show, partly to avoid a harsh verdict by History, partly to counter any ICJ and global narrative, and partly to some anti-war votes in the upcoming elections. Anyone who follows the American politics would know how the election year is so critical for both Republicans and Democrats--billions of $$ change hands as a result of who wins!!
 
The Jewish community intimidated the Biden administration very quickly and forced him to arm their genocidal endeavor into Rafah. It's amazing how a 'minority' just subjugated the US government to their will. Now Israel will continue to escalate it's genocide in Gaza and potentially trigger more wars with neighbors which it will force the US to bankroll and fight for it. US is essentially fighting the war as Israel cannot build these munitions or their large quantities , by itself.

Now Israel will make a press conference on invasion and assaults on Rafah. Biden 'red line's wasn't real since day one.
