My take is Israeli leaders are not really interested very much in the hostages. They will be willing to sacrifice them if they can somehow reduce or get rid of the Palestinian population in Gaza. This IMO is the primary objective right now.

I doubt whether the Zionists are going to attack Lebanon as Hezbollah has real teeth.

They do not have the bombing option against Hezbollah as they are even better dug in than Hamas and in much more favourable terrain.

Depends though. I believe the US will choke and sanction Lebanon and try to get non Shia Lebanese to become anti- hezbollah. The US destroyed Iraq and weakened Syria that they are no longer a threat to Israel. Jordan and Egypt are sold sub standard military equipment and are not a major threat to Israel. The only threat remaining is Hezbollah. The long term plan is to have US backed Israeli hegemony across the Middle East, with demilitarized Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan etc living at the mercy of US / Israel.
