Sad news. RIP. These were accomplished people who achieved something in their livesm unlike many of us normal dudes.

This is life, short & unpredictable. Make best out of it while you can. Help the needy, help the society, Make earth a better place before you leave.

You never know, next moment is your last, heart attack, car accident, aircraft crash or anything.

People who are making conspiracies can make conspiracy out of anything. It is an accident. If heli would have downed in a non-hilly area and in non-foggy conditions then maybe you could have added doubts that whether its technical issue or something else. But this is clearly an accident. Secondly, why would anyone take such a risk to kill president when they know, he will be replaced by another guy from the same establishment. Its not that Iran has some other political party with totally different approach or that Iranian policies will drastically change or anything at all. The most powerful position in Iran is Supreme leader anyway. There is no logic to take down Iranian president's heli by any country. Its an unfortunate accident.

Sorry, but if Air Force One go down, the US would probably be in similar, if not the same, problem. Other than poor mission planning and/or mechanical issues, am not going to fault the Iranian Air Force on this mishap.
Accidents happen--true. In this case, and many before, there has been faulty or non-existent security planning and procs in place. This, IMO, could've been avoided, and others too. Blaming AF, or this or that tech, or 'the weather' is bogus. Lapse of security is the main reason behind all this. As for weather, Iranians, in particular, are mountain men and the site should've found this far faster IMO--ESPECIALLY since high officials were involved.

Sure, you can make Israel the suspect in everything and anything bad happened in Iran, even BEFORE the technical investigation of this mishap.

Heavy fog? It must be Jewish weather control satellites.

Poor mission planning? There must be a Zionist spy inside the Iranian Air Force.

And on and on. It will never end and anyone who conclude that it must have been a technical cause or pilot error will be cowed into silence.
Correct!

There should be no reason to assassinate Iranian scientists, government officials, or generals, but in fact countless people have been assassinated by the U.S. and Israel.
In fact, countless people have been assassinated by the U.S. and Israel and will probably be repeated with impunity.
Iran cannot kill a single American or Zionist.

the number of lies told to the Iranian people during this incident was staggering. a major inquest must be launched with severe consequences for the embarrassment and incompetence displayed across multiple branches.

first it was just a "hard landing"

then the President continued by car

then they made contact with someone from the plane twice who heard ambulances and was hurt but alive

then they received a signal from the helicopter

then multiple claims of having detected the location of the helicopter

...

and in the end after 12 hours of lies and incompetence (where they still had no idea where the helicopter might be), a Turkish drone came and found the site for us in 2 hours
Brother, I said it earlier here... the power is in hands of "haji nuzulkhor" and those who artificially stamped prayer bumps on their foreheads. It's a waste of resources, talent.. they're corrupt beggars kept alive by Iranian resources. All sectors are riddled with them, media, parliament, industry, universities, army, finance, schools etc etc. I'll tell you... we'll witness a disaster every month or 2. This is the result of putting people in certain positions based on their ideology, not their ability and talent. grandpa/clerical power.. it's ok for khar-mazhabiyoon, but not ok for people who want their country to progress. They are the reason a bache kooni like shazde reza pahlavi and khale sooske masih alinejad dare to act bold.

Flying a helicopter in fog that dense is insane. The pilot can end up flying backwards into the ground because his vestibular system tells him he is flying straight and level. That’s what happened with Kobe Bryant crash.

The investigation will have to figure out why the other two helicopters made it out but not the one carrying the president.

Forget ridiculous conspiracy theories. The sad thing is that Iran authorized bodies put its president and foreign minister on a 30-year-old helicopter that can only fly by sight even at high altitude and in bad weather conditions. I apologize, but this is something that the Iranian defense ministry should explain first and foremost. Secondly, the attitude of the so-called allies, who claim to be Iran's friends when they needs Iran, but who are afraid of US pressure in terms of foreign procurement and cannot provide Iran with concrete technical support, should be questioned.

Inna lillahey wainnaellahye Rajeeon.

I refuse to believe that President heli will be flying low in the valley specially during the bad weather. Doesnt make sense at all. Impact looks like vertical hit rather horizontal, heli was in free fall it seems. Either shot down or some internal sabotage.

How far the crash site is from Azerbaijan border? There was a news of C17 landing in Azerbaijan around the same time. How quickly they can assemble and fly, that is the unknown. Food for thought.

Its over guys

so who you think will replace

Raisi in the next 2-3 weeks ?

most likely candidate for new president according all Iranian media outlets will be Ghalibaf

who now with death of Raisi is the leading politician in the Conservative camp

Condolences to the Iranian nation and the families of the deceased. During Mr. Raisi's visit to Pakistan just a few weeks ago, he and Pakistanis felt a lot of warmth for each other and his death is not only a big loss for Iran but also for Pakistan. Hopefully, the warming relations between the two nations will continue with even more vigor. Pakistan is officially observing a Day of Mourning over this loss.
May the deceased Rest in Peace.

The only relevant person and diplomat that died in this accident was Amir-Abdollahian.
