Sibal and Swamy talk on the state of the Indian Economy.

On an unrelated issue, Swamy puts forward some strong objections to why Modi should not be one of the 5 individuals present at the Sthapna ceremony if the Ram Mandir.

Very interesting point he has made.

Sir ji, a question, have you officially joined congress? I believe, we should look beyond the window dressing on youtube.

Not yet sir ji. But hopefully soon.

Anything wrong?

Or should we have just one party moving forward.

Heh! I am a big proponent of strong opposition and back and forth flow of political power. That being said, I will hate to see someone like you to speak party talking points.

@VersusChristi I understand you've just been shocked by the Dasti video.

Remember, the Indian Election Commissioner will now be selected by one Opposition and Two BJP representatives. In place of the original one BJP representative and the CJI.

Reserve some of your shock.

For us.

I'm throwing content out there.

Whatever anyone finds interesting let us discuss.

You will notice each post of mine has my personal thoughts as well.

But I'm not accustomed to soliloquies.

The Election Commission Act of 91 never specified how CECs and ECs are selected and left a (deliberate?) gap in process. What is important to understand is how were CECs and ECs were elected in the period from 91 till sometimes in 2019 or so (IIRC) when supreme court intervened. It is noteworthy that Supreme court self inserted it with a condition on an ad-hoc basis to be replaced by a more permanent policy.

If you want to be shocked, the present policy of excluding CJI is NOT the hill to die on. That hill was made just few days back. It is a different issue which looks slightly more troublesome to me in the new election commission act. A much minor point which feels weird. Its the paygrade of CEC ..

So you are saying we should reconsign ourselves to the elections being overseen by a BJP man.

Ok I guess. When you know what is inevitable, might as well lay back and relax your perineum.
