Napoleon Bonaparte said, if we want to avoid the cannon shots, first we must deal with the pin pricks that precede the cannon shots.
Very smart man.

A friend of the Nation of Islam knocked on my door 25 years ago and took me to meet Elijah Muhammad's oldest son.
[What happened to Wallace Fard?
In 1934 he disappeared without a trace. Members of the movement believe Fard to be the incarnation of Allāh, and his birthday, February 26, is observed as Saviour's Day.]
Wallace came over to my apartment in Detroit one more time and asked me if I wanted meet some people for lunch.
Lunch was at the home of two elder sisters of Nation of Islam. Keep in mind, I am nothing more than a working poor nearly deaf white man, and they treated me with the upmost respect.
Of course, I have zero knowledge of what's proper, or not. From the moment Wallace and I entered the Sisters' home, to when we left, Wallace graciously told me what to expect, and the proper etiquette.
Men and women ate separately, and yes, fruit.
After lunch, I was asked if I would like to watch a video. Ok. They picked out an old Louis Farakan Saviour's Day speech on VHS.
That's it. Never seen them again.
I am very honored to have had lunch that day with them.
This is how one is supposed to live.
Peace.
What's that Muslim phrase with the word peace in it?
