Having large population dosent negate hard work and dedication that takes to buil 40 000 km of HSR.

Many countries has neither the know-how, money, expertise or bureaucracy to build state of the art transportation technology.

Thats why its a huge achievement by China. Considering it was almost like a third world country only 40 years ago.

80% of HSR lines in CHina are unprofitable. Are you suggesting that France and Germany and UK should have competed in white elephant projects just for show purposes?

They don't have the metro length of China because they don't need it, and many of these have had metros for decades before China so don't question their expertise.

Lol, only your Indian brains calculate that way, you dont understand overall development in bigger pictures. Go build HSR yourselves first, then you will have the right to BS about HSR.

US, France, South Korea etc. weren't going through uncotrolled population growth for 50 years so they don't need to build all that rail length,

How the hell is this news supposed to be positive?
LOL, You can read it as a bad news, no one forces you to see it as positive.

Public facilities are never meant for direct profit, China is not the west, the west can never look beyond the tip of their nose but China always has a long term sight.
China cares more about how much progress and growth public facilities can bring to the overall economy, like smooth connectivity for some cities and provinces boost their GDP growth by over 5% or more, that money is many times bigger than all the money put into building those facilities. Only short sighted west only expects to make a profit from selling tickets.
Smooth connectivity plays a vital part for China as the provider of the world supply chain. what profit can be bigger than this?

China doesn't have 50% more population than the next 10 countries, COMBINED.

Every year, you can find hundreds of such reports in Western media.
So real, but nothing new.

Located in the NE Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hulunbuir, named after the Hulun Nur and Buir Nur, covers an area of about 253,000 square kilometers.

Hulunbuir is home to more than 40 ethnic groups, including Han, Mongolian, Daur, Ewenki, Oroqen and Russian, etc. It boasts beautiful grasslands and vast forests, among which more than 500 lakes, over 3,000 rivers and large scale wetlands dot.

Yes, which is why your telecom companies are running massive losses on 5G deployment and most of your HSR lines are running losses because people aren't using them.....

Trying to say that the west doesn't build HSR because they can't is the biggest joke. They can, they don't because they don't see the economic reason to do it. China does because showing off is more important than economic viability.

Go away.

When they do complete, it will be viable.

Some countries put money into wars and some into public facilities, China still is running a high budget surplus. We never expect bullet trains and subways can support themselves just be selling tickets, we focus more on the massive economic benefits they bring to the whole economy, which are hundreds of times more than the money put in building and operating them, you guys can never see anywhere beyond your nose tip, that is why you are always slow.
