I am sorry that it read like a recognition of personal attacks on Doc. There were very few such, and those did not enter into any thinking process.

Again, I repeat, at the cost of being boring - we have no favourite sons, all members are equal. AFAIK we have been evenhanded in our dealings and will remain so.
Noticing that Doc is alone on one side does not influence a hardening of attitudes against any of those attacking.
