Could be - but the current quasi headless nature of this “revolution” makes it ripe for all sorts of influence even if its all local.

Elections are rigged in emerging markets or non-first world countries. there is little USA can do in the short run.

You assume the masses are wise and/or correct in all cases. In most cases they are fools who can be manipulated

I don't care for Khan, but that province is a shithole due to their feudalism mindset and the population bonded in slavery, all it takes is one man with enough iron between his legs to change their direction but they don't have that sadly. They prefer being ghulam.
