At 6:30, the Islamic Resistance launched a Qader 1 ballistic missile targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, which is the headquarters responsible for assassinating leaders and blowing up pagers and wireless devices.

Pressure tactic. They're trying to get Hezbollah to stand down fast. And those airstrikes didn't help achieve that. Soon Hezbollah strikes will become very effective. Israeli missile defense system will be stressed. So they go with ground invasion option immediately.

Their demand is to ethnically cleanse southern Lebanon of Shia's which is ludicrous and Hezbollah won't agree to.

for a truly strategic defeat of Hezbollah, Israel would have to close off the Lebanon-Syria border to prevent movement of fighters and weapons across the border.

but this border is 394km long and far from south Lebanon... for comparison, the Gaza-Egypt border is only 12km long

Israel bombed 280 targets in Lebanon so far today
 
There appears to be a gag order on the ballistic missile strike on Tel Aviv. Haven't seen a video of a interception or attempted interception , impact, nothing.

A demografics decline, sure.
But technically the west remains on top, only challenged by China (the same China facing a demografics fall... And so far China is mainly able to copy and paste west tech).
It will be as in South Africa : the economic power remains in few hands, and not in the numerous ones.

It is very clear to me that all the countries to the east of Israel, as far as up to Pakistan, and to the west of Israel, as far as Algeria, or to Somalia/Yemen are forever going to be under the colonial watchful eyes and ears of Israel. Turkey too is not immune to that as Armenia and/or Kurds to be used if there is real need.
The local dumb $ucks don't know they would be forever under the thumb of a colonial enterprise which proudly calls itself 'The Last Outpost of the West in the Middle East'.

When Netanyahu said he will change the middle east, does he mean change or colonize? I feel he means Israel will colonize and control the middle east.

Iran will likely have to intervene directly, at some point, and probably sooner than later. US hasnt provided Taiwan its >$20bn of weapons it signed contracts for, because it gave Israel and Ukraine (and possibly its army) those weapons, so lets see if these weapons saves Israel. WEapons have never saved any western military entity in a modern war, and actually Western adversaries have reduced the tech gap between them and the West considerably, so the West is contextually more vulnerable to military clashes than their adversaries, who have been ""beaten up",many times, often won the war(s), and bounced back stronger and better. Iraqi militias deserve some recognition- they have given Israel serious damage, and Israel apparently has no plans to attack them (but will probably try sooner or later, via mid-long range air strikes from Israel to Iraq) and this makes Israel really ready to conquer the middle east (whaaat??? no logic detected! lol)

Also, the recent pager kills in Lebanon and the Hamas leader kill in Tehran showed how much Israel can do by itself without needing America's superpower technology. They showed that Israel has vastly superior HUMINT and moles.
