I'd advise you not to derail that thread and talk here before Dr @Musings makes distasteful jokes about you missing your meds too, since you are close to disagreeing with his political views and getting a taste of power abuse.

I have tried, in some posts to deliver the point across more logically but the reception has not been the same.

After all, when people have made their minds, nothing, no logic will deter them. Hint hint MAGA crowd.

Perhaps when we reap the consequences of other's bad decision, we will come here again to complain about why things never go the way Muslims want, while our participation in US polics is limited to voting only and not running for offices.

I am not going to spend much time in this thread except to say this about the Israel-Palestine conflict:

The Seat of the Israeli Power is in the White House! It is very important and pertinent to that topic as to who is the President of America. And contrary to what some people say, the American President does have some powers; the 'executive' is very strong in America and a lot can be done based on the President's personal inclination. We can go back to Kennedy's decisions about the Cuban Missile Crisis and his decision was based on his instincts, which were influenced by the Bay of Pigs crisis. Kennedy defied the war hawks then and came to a resolution.
It would be a misunderstanding of the American politics to discount a President's personal background.

Pretty sure our beef is settled.

Its a very tough road to the white house and unless you have the APIC blessing (Translated to Army in Pakistan's case) you dont get to be in power. But another thing that people fail to realize is, you can't ever have a candidate that will be able to fulfill all of your demands to earn your vote.

Kamala goes too much anti-israel and loses the Jewish support, gains Muslim and vice versa. Trump doesnt have to worry about this. Infact, he is banking on MI Muslims to protest vote and clear his way to WH.

Baseline is, if we dont start running for offices, we dont have a true representation.

Look at the UK, Muslim mayor, 3 times re-elect? Thats whats needed to bring about a voice in the congress and HoR.
