In essence the Zionists need a break to catch their breath, the more time they get the more interceptors can be made and shipped.
The more time their soldiers get to rest before they have to return to the front

And Israel gets time to relook at the situation and map and plan where they need to push and target

The missile barrages need to increase to take advantage of the situation
