United States elections 2024: Donald Trump Wins

It's rhetoric. It's not real. POTUS has no real powers. He can only do something if courts say he can.

Tramp was not even allowed to ban flights from certain Muslim countries.

If you think POTUS has power in the US then you are an idiot.

Hence, the checks and balances.

The courts disallowed the ban because it was racist, after adding Columbia or some other Latin country, it was no longer racist and hence went forward.

The president's power is amplified greatly when the Senate/ House has his party in the majority, and no Republican has the backbone of opposing his policies.

Idiot is a fancy word, when you have no idea how accurately it describes you.

POTUS has no power at all besides vetoing bills and pardoning criminals. Congress has the most power in the US, followed by SCOTUS, then followed by the lower courts.

POTUS is the head of state, a ceremonial role, mostly involved in foreign relations.

Disagree, POTUS does have a lot of authority that doesn't need Congress approvals. Especially given that there's really only 2 parties that govern Congress, one of which is going to be the president's.

It really depends on the president, they really an exercise their most powerful man in the world title, for instance Nixon bombed Cambodia without Congress approval, and Bush jr turned Iraq into fine dust and red mist just to complete his dad's dream.

So really, Trump can do unimaginable things to most of the world if he so chooses.

I agree Biden showed a lack of leadership and creativity on illegal immigration problem, but what could he have done differently in Ukraine and Middle East that would have benefited his administration (and Harris campaign) politically? If Trump were to be in his shoes, most likely his policy would have been simple: "I don't give a damn, Putin and Netanyahu, it is your business to do what you need". How would that be better for anyone?
With Ukraine I think he did what could be done. But on Gaza, if it’s was US policy to only target fighters, the US could have insisted on a quick campaign to eliminate the leadership of Hamas and worked on a way to change the government there, all within a couple months. The US looking like it was able to restrain Israel would make it uphold its mantle of the “Indispensable Nation”. Failure to protect the civilians and ensure they got enough humanitarian aid undermines the US goals of undermining Hamas, but does empower the psychopaths in Israel, which undermines US interests in the region. Biden is leaving a major dent to US global influence and a mess for whomever his successor turns out to be. The US should have learned this from the failures de-bathification of Iraq, but memories seem short.

As for illegal immigration, Biden could have insisted on deploying the national guard when it looked like it was not gonna get any better. He could have done it after the 2022 midterms and shown he was taking things seriously. The migrants coming to large democrat majority cities soured even more Americans on the migrant influx.

But you are making too many assumptions.
1. How do you know a 'quick campaign' to eliminate leadership of Hamas was feasible for Israel? How successful were we with ISIS and Al-Queda/Taliban, with lot more resources?
2. How do you know U.S. could restrain Israel any more than what it could? Israel enjoys very strong bipartisan support in Congress and among public. Any more arm twisting would be politically impossible. At least our failures in Iraq and Afghanistan were of our own making. But how much more can one criticize U.S. administration for another country's acts?

Trump could have delivered on his promise to build a big beautiful wall paid by Mexico. How much of it was built again? Why did he shoot down the bi-partisan immigration bill? Questions that can give seizures to MAGA garbage.

2%, no not the skim milk but the wall. Very convenient, what could have been done in 20/20 hindsight.

Did Trump deploy the National Guard when insurrectionists were attacking the capitol? Oh no, per his rally rambling, "I shouldn't have left the white house".

Tramp is not an independent. He's a Republican. He cannot do anything too reckless or else he ruins his party.
