United States elections 2024: Donald Trump Wins

I highly doubt people think Trump is going to make life better for those in Gaza. He's more likely to loan the Israelis B-52s.

Biden admin thrown out due to economy, inflation, immigration mayhem, and videos of shoplifting chaos.
Again its not about who will do better for Gaza, they both are horrible in my opinion along with 97% US congress who consider AIPAC as their masters, but a known enemy is better than a ally who stab you in the back.

If trump wants to kill more Palestinians, he will do it just like Kamala would but at least Trump will be honest about it, unlike Biden and Kamala who in public give statements that war in Gaza must stop while sending shipments of bombs to Israel, I have zero trust and hope from US political system to even have neutral stand in Palestinian Genocide, its pretty much clear US will value you only if you don't say anything against Israel or else you can burn yourself outside Israel embassy and your own Armed forces will disown you or you can die helping starving people as US citizen and your Govt won't even condemn it. But if you are Askenzai Jew and working in IDF and die a dog's death in Gaza than its all condemnations and sadness. Sorry but I had high hopes for US govt and institutions as whole but they are nothing but bullies, they maybe good for their internal issues fine, but for the rest of the world US is just Bully and I will put them even worse than Russians and Chinese.

The way I see it, Muslim/GenZ and undecided voter cause Democrats to lose, I would say that Muslim American prefer a honest enemy over a dishonest ally, as the time progress the population of American Muslims will increase so hopefully they can bring some sense into US Presidents and maybe just maybe US stop being such a pain in the A$$ for the rest of the world.
Well, I do respect your point of view, but the number suggested it was the Hispanic and Black vote.

I mean, of course we can speculate all day why the independent didn't come out strong and support Harris as she expected. But putting Muslim and Genocide issue is probably a stretch, because Gen Z does come out and support Trump (He got around 34% of Gen Z vote, both sexes) and Muslim population didn't really make a different in this election, in fact, as I pointed out, even Jill Stein wasn't doing well(Think she has less than 1% of the vote in Michigan) and she is all for the Muslim clause.

Harris loses the county where Hispanic and Black being majority is the issue here, she didn't lose much if she had 340k more vote between MI, PA and NC she could have won this but the erosion of black and hispanic voter in these states seal the deal for Trump.

You are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine, FACT is Trump won and Democrats lost the elections, whether its Black or Hispanic or Muslims or GenZ.. what matters is that people have pick their president, now what is yet to see is that either the world will burn or have a sigh of relief from all the wars that either US started, supported or involved directly or indirectly.

Don’t count on Muslim numbers increasing much in the US. For one thing, every time I check it Pew Research lowers the number of Muslims in the US. Their latest figure is 3.45 million. Second, without declaring it publicly, there seems to be a very tight squeeze on admitting Muslims immigrants into the country. For example, in 2023 out of 1 million legal immigrants probably not even 10% were Muslims.

The same is true for UK and Canada. They don’t say it but they allow in very few Muslims compared to Indians, Africans and others. In 2023 Canada admitted 566,000 Indian immigrants and students and only 12,000 Pakistani immigrants. No students.

Bernie Sanders won his senate seat and won’t run next time. He gave the early autopsy on the Democratic Party.

IMHO, The Democratic Party will have to be transformed in the next 2 years if it hopes to recover by the 2026 midterms.

Blacks and Hispanics are even more majority working and middle class over Whites and Asians. It’s the economy, as Clinton’s campaign manager use to say in the 1992 election. People need a way to work their way up, for example a way to afford housing.

Bernie is giving the early autopsy on the party. Let’s see if the Democratic Party will heed his words.

They were not "delaying" anything but saying they did. lol

Whatever they "delayed" was not an immediate necessity.

Like I say it is just "optics". Policies are pretty much identical.
At least they pretended. Now imagine someone blatantly Pro Israel. Selling the next cache of weapons, but he's gonna say "I'm sad very sad about the deaths, but return the hostages". Lol

Immigration

Since 2015, Trump has made curbing illegal immigration a cornerstone of his campaigns. As president, he built or reconstructed about 400 miles of border barrier along the U.S.–Mexico border and implemented a number of rules curbing illegal migration into the country.

During the campaign, Trump often said that he would initiate the largest “mass deportation” effort in U.S. history if elected. Recently, he also warned Mexico that he would impose a 25 percent tariff targeting the country if it fails to curb illegal immigration and that he would raise that tariff if Mexico doesn’t comply.

Also, he’s suggested more enhanced screenings for immigrants, ending birthright citizenship—which may require a constitutional amendment—and reimposing certain policies enacted during his first term such as the “remain in Mexico” protocol.

Tom Homan, a former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) who is expected to join the new administration, told media outlets last year that the scale of deportations depends on what resources are available.

During a “60 Minutes” interview in October, Homan was asked about whether families would be separated. Homan responded, “Families can be deported together.”

Vice President-elect JD Vance said in his debate with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Oct. 1 that deporting criminals would be a second Trump administration’s initial focus.

You’ve got to reimplement Donald Trump’s border policies, build the wall, reimplement deportations,” Vance said, adding that the United States has 20 to 25 million illegal immigrants in the country.

“What do we do with them? I think the first thing that we do is we start with the criminal migrants.”
