Z-10 ME/P deliveries Updates: Pakistan Army Aviation.

When is the Turkish engine issue going to be resolved?

And, what guarantee is there that the US will not pressure Turkiye into proceeding with the deal despite the availability of Turkish engines?

$1 = 34 Turkish Liras
(1 New Lira represents 1 million Old Liras)
Once Turkish engines are ready the last bottleneck gets broken. By the by, the Turkish reserve has reached $152b, a historical high. The Turkish financial foundations have been being diversified, at a great pain of course, since the last US punishment in 2016 due to her campaigns in the Northern Iraq and Syria. Now, Reis Erdo'an has signaled fresh campaigns at a much larger scale to accommodate a buffer zone to a depth of 40-50 kms all along the Syrian and Iraqi borders. And, as per RFK Jr, a close Trump aide, the President is very discomfortable with the US troops at the Northern Iraq and Syria bordering Turkey and Iran. He wants them out ASAP....

As for diversifying the "fintech" and "semi-tech", Reis Erdo'an attended the BRICS summit for a reason....

Turkey has been covering one base after another....

Can you give us a definitive timeline?
Soon = what?

Don't ask Zaravan. I remember he was saying next week in a post dated 2022 @ old PDF.

On a serious note, nobody knows. There's no definitive date and PA should really commit to UCAVs that's where the future lies.

UCAV are coming but PAF and Pakistan Army don't consider them alternate to attack helicopters. Both Tanks and Attack Helicopters are going nowhere.

Both Tanks and Attack Helicopters are going nowhere.

Tanks & attack helis definitely will be replaced. Not immediately but 1-2 decades at most and these will be replaced. A smarter AI controlled unmanned Tank killer will hunt down infantry & other tanks far better. Similarly UCAVs will come in every size and every role including the one to replace attack helis. I already mentioned Japan is going to replace its attack helis with UCAVs.

People used to say same stuff for lot of things. Battleship was a centerpiece of the fleet at one time. Where it is today??? Do you see any navy with a large ship like a tank with lots of guns ? Its replaced by destroyers & frigates.

Zarvan, I am sure people 500 years ago used to say that archers or mounted units can never be replaced. There is not a single thing in warfare that will remain the same. Especially in this age and time and onset of AI, everything is going to be changed so rapidly & drastically that has never happened before.

Not even in 4 to 5 decades. They would get more protection, faster, agile and advanced but not going anywhere anytime soon.

Let's see if Turkiye has developed the ability to defy US fiscal pressure. The last time Turkiye tried to defy the US, it didn't go so well for Turkiye and Turkiye had to use the Kashoggi excuse as a distration to save face .

Turkish helicopter engine is still some years, they have inducted the first helicopter engine for a utility helicopter so they are working really hard for a more powerful engine.

Turkey and Pakistan have close relationship, we already have bought alot of high tech military weapons and will continue to do so, Turkey will sell, we are similar level allies as Azerbaijan. This also benefits Turkey as they already have a buyer before the weapons are ready.

I agree, would a general send 50 helicopters or 100 UAVs to destroy enemy hideouts, and I am talking about a next generation UAV, like you mentioned about it being AI, stealth etc, However Tanks and Helicopters will stay for many decades, they will all be used as a unit, working to support each other, their numbers will be reduced and UAVs will replace them. The battle would be like enemy hideouts are spotted and Helicopter stays behind and UAVs attack and destroy the target and then Helicopter enters to finish off, Tanks will spot a target and will send unmanned Tanks to destroy target before entering, the human will be in charge of UAVs aswell as own unit.

Tanks will get more stealth, will get more and better protection and will get more agile same will happen with helicopters. But they will stay for many more decades.

Why do you think pilot is necessary in a gunship? If you are so focused on gunship heli, then I give you example of gunship heli. Just remove the pilot & cockpit from Z-10ME. Same pilot of Z-10ME can be stationed at ground location and flying the heli just like the way he'd have done while physically present in heli. That's a UCAV for you. now you can drastically reduce the armor & weight of the heli (UCAV), improve its design.

Similarly, same thing with tanks. However, in the later phases even the role of remote pilots will start diminishing as AI controlled drones will go more and more autonomous. That's in a long term but what we can see in near future is existing machines with remote piloting, that's exactly what UCAV means

I am not saying the role of tanks / gunships will be diminished anytime soon. Their role will be just taken over by Unmanned systems controlled by operators sitting in bunkers or any place deep inside in friendly territory, you can use them for multiple machines. If one UCAV goes down, same pilot will switch to another one.

There won't be a difference if a pilot of Z-10ME helicopter is not sitting inside it but in a safe location. So that heli is now a UCAV.

When all pilots are sitting together with battle managers / Generals, seeing the whole tactical & strategic position of the battlefield then you get battle efficiency 10 times more. You can direct resources where needed on real time. Once a UCAV gunship is shot down, Same human pilot can quickly be assigned to another gunship UCAV. Advantages of remote piloting are immense. You are protecting the most valueable resources, no fear of them becoming POWs, or being injured or killed. You can reduce the cost of equipment by taking away so much from the gunships that is solely present to defend the pilot.

Because of irrelevant information posted
The Russian - Ukrainian conflict, has changed a lot on the modern day battlefield.

Those changes are trickling down into new procurement policies and priorities.
