The Pakistani generals aren't interested in protecting their borders. How do you think a bunch of Arabs and Chechens started breeding children in the tribal areas of Pakistan? This conduct of abandoning territory and border regions has a long history. Read up on Waziristan. I highly recommend you to do some research on this so-called tribal area of Pakistan. You will understand the mindset of Pakistani security apparatus. These people don't give a hoot about border regions because their bungalows and riches aren't situated there.

But Irans timing and actions seem senseless

The region is under immense pressure and to unilaterally target Pakistan of all countries when numerous states are looking for a excuse to hit Iran seems a poorly thought out plan

It would be like Pakistan deciding to bomb iran in the middle of a standoff with India, the poor timing alone would be unforgivable

I don't believe Pakistan will respond to this but at this moment I am inclined to agree that it was a strange action from Iran and potentially counterproductive. I certainly understand Pakistanis being angry about this violation of their sovereignty


Notifying Pakistan in advance has nothing to do with mistakenly killing civilians. If you are suggesting Iran deliberately killed children then I think we are done here.

It has everything to do with it, and I will NOT have you even suggest otherwise.

A notification would have allowed Pakistan to at least check if there are civilians in the area. The fact that no warning was given made even that small exercise impossible.
