IRGC-ASF launches missile strikes against anti-Iran terrorists in Pakistan, Iraq and Syria - Pakistan responds

I don't think there will be any retaliatory strikes against Iran. Doing that will only push India and Iran closer, and maybe even Iran allowing Indian assets close to Pakistan. However, Pakistan had to retaliate against India because....well, it's India. Both countries are mutual enemies and hell bent on destroying each other. The Pak military doesn't want to stretch itself unnecessarily, and keep the bulk of its focus and assets targeted towards India and its eastern border. This is a game of chess.

With Iran, there's no reason to escalate. In fact, the Balochi separatists are enemies of both countries, so I don't see why they don't work closer against these organizations. It seems that both countries will tackle them on their home soil, but allow them to attack each other. Completely pointless strategy.
Nah, we have to respond, we must respond. Sovereignity is the red line!

This is a sensible post and I agree

It seems most Iranians strongly disagree

We will see

Well it's best to as they don't want escalation, but the time for that has passed. I doubt there is any turning back now. Not speaking to the government or military and striking a nation is just plain insanity, especially with one you had good ties with.

There AD is based upon BUK M3(Licensed into 3rd Khordad) or 15th Khordad (S300) Baver 373(S300V)
I really suggest you spend some time in the Iranian Air Defence thread and learn more before you repeat this nonsense

Can you show us the supposed similarities between S-300V and Bavar 373? In the Iranian AD thread please, not here

Get real. Pakistan has been willing to compromise its sovereignty at the drop of a hat when it suits it. Where was "Pakistani sovereignty" when the US invaded Pak airspace and killed OBL?! :devilish:

Right now the Gulf states, the Americans etc will be talking to Pakistan's military chiefs. India and Iran coming together isn't a worry, and knowing India they will stay clear as they want their ties with the Arabs to flourish even more.

US is a global power, iran on the other hand is far from it! We cant compete with superpowers but we sure as hell can with the likes of iran!

I must say the "Persians", as the pretentious Iranians like to call themselves, seem to be hell bent on causing chaos and sowing the seeds of the own destruction. They seem to be making enemies of everyone in their region, for no good reason.

This does place Pakistan and its military in a bind though, as given the precedent with Swift Retort, it's going to look foolish if it doesn't respond in kind as it did to India, because there's too many similarities - both Iran and India targeted alleged "terrorists" on Pakistan's sovereign territory.

But then again, a retaliatory strike against Iran could lead to significant escalation for regional instability. After all, the US chose not to retaliate against the Iranians when they launched a ballistic missile attack on its air base in Iraq, as well as cruise missiles strikes against the Saudis.

But in my view, the Iranians are now reaching the limit of how much they can "poke". The US has been routinely attacking Iranian proxies in Iraq and Syria, and now the Houthis. This could lead to a sustained air campaign against Iran in my view, bombing it back to the stone age.

Who knows, the US and Pakistan could become "allies" again :devilish: :ROFLMAO: Could F-35s be heading to the PAF?! :p

Other than the political mileage which Modi hoped to extract, Indian strikes in Balakot had a goal and that was to create a space within the sub-conventional conflict boundary while not escalating into the nuclear domain.

Iran has all but cemented that argument after Panjgur strikes.

Amazing how no one has picked up on this.
