I think the issues facing Erdogan are quite complex. Turkey is a mix of European and Middle Eastern. The ruling classes are mostly pro-European while the bulk of the population is pro-Islamic.
When I visited Turkey I noticed that Istanbul has a lot of European looking people, especially in richer neighborhoods. But only a tiny part of Turkey is located in Europe. Once you go to other cities most people look Middle Eastern with women wearing hijab etc.
But the military is pro-West and part of NATO. They nearly overthrew Erdogan a few years ago on American orders, like the Pakistan Army overthrew Imran Khan. So, Erdogan has to be careful. Also, he sees that all the Arab countries are in the Anglo-Zionist camp. He wouldn’t want to isolate Turkey like Iran and get put under sanctions.
What is required is Muslim unity, but that is missing. That will only happen if/when the puppet regimes are overthrown.

I have heard this argument before that Erdogan is doing this for survival.
That would still be pathetic as he should not be making his hypocritical speeches blasting the entity and even threatening war on it.
The fact his son owns a shipping company that is trading with the Zionist entity as we speak tells us exactly where his heart lies. Erdogan family personally profits from trade with the usurper of Palestine.
There’s a Hadith that says the following. So, speaking out against a wrong is still better than staying quiet.
"Whoever of you sees wrong being committed, let him change it with his hand (i.e. by force). If he is unable to do that, then with his tongue, and if he is unable to do that, then with his heart."
