Yes this is serious business now. I honestly think the Iranian military decisions makers are compromised, I mean why now when you're under massive pressure on all fronts.

Compromised is very much plausible... It has been exhibited on multiple occasions in the past where key personnel or equipment locations were compromised...
Key scientists, even Generals lost in various countries over the past several years.
Second, something that now seems quite possible is also that their decision making jitters... bungled something they assumed would establish some kind of deterrence.

In this case... if and when Pakistan responds, collapses!

Catch 22... both of the above concerns are detrimental to their cause.

We know a lot of Iran oil smuggling takes place filling up lots of pockets . If nothing is done , it’s clear that our leaders and military are more interested in getting rich than protecting our country and our lives.
That Irani Oil actually helps reducing our import bill by a very big figure

Two different cases. In india's case it was accidentally fired missile and no one was hurt and India apologized. Iran made a deliberate action and announced itself that it carried out an attack. More relevance is with India's balakot strike that was responded very well.
That is exactly I am conveying just with different example. So I am expecting response from Pakistan and we are in agreement.

I also think someone mentioned yesterday that all this Saudi and Iran talks are superficial and Iran and Pakistan relation are back to square one.

Iran is not the first country to do surgical strikes in Pakistan

China urges Iran, Pakistan to ‘exercise restraint’ following air strike

China on Wednesday urged Pakistan and Iran to show “restraint”, after Islamabad denounced what it described as the “unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran”.

According to a statement released by the Foreign Office (FO) after midnight, strikes in Pakistani territory resulted in “deaths of two innocent children while injuring of three girls”.

While the FO did not mention the location of the incident, Iranian state media said the attack took place in the border town of Panjgur in Balochistan.

Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency said the “focal point of this operation was the region known as Kouh-Sabz (green mountain)” in Balochistan.

“Two key strongholds of the Jaysh al-Dhulm (Jaish al-Adl) terrorist group in Pakistan” were “specifically targeted and successfully demolished by a combination of missile and drone attacks”, the Tasnim news agency said.

Local authorities said they had also received information about such an attack, but had no further details. Reports from the area suggested that a missile hit a mosque, partially damaging it and injuring some people.

According to AFP, hours before the attack, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar had met Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Iran offered no immediate official comment but its state-run Nour News agency said the attack destroyed the Pakistan headquarters of the Jaish al-Adl.

Further, Pakistan has also not released any further updates on the incident.

Speaking at a regular briefing today, China Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said: “We call on both sides to exercise restraint, avoid actions that would lead to an escalation of tension and work together to maintain peace and stability.”

“We consider both Iran and Pakistan as close neighbours and major Islamic countries,” she added.

It must be noted that both Iran and Pakistan are close partners of Beijing and members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation — a political and security union of countries spanning much of Eurasia, including China, India and Russia.

Let's throw some ballistic missiles in Chongqing and then tell China to show restraint.

I don't think there will be any retaliatory strikes against Iran. Doing that will only push India and Iran closer, and maybe even Iran allowing Indian assets close to Pakistan. However, Pakistan had to retaliate against India because....well, it's India. Both countries are mutual enemies and hell bent on destroying each other. The Pak military doesn't want to stretch itself unnecessarily, and keep the bulk of its focus and assets targeted towards India and its eastern border. This is a game of chess.

With Iran, there's no reason to escalate. In fact, the Balochi separatists are enemies of both countries, so I don't see why they don't work closer against these organizations. It seems that both countries will tackle them on their home soil, but allow them to attack each other. Completely pointless strategy.
Iran and India already have a defence pact and they can't be pushed any closer. The sooner we realize that Iran is an enemy the better. I have been saying this for the past six years.

Sure. All Pakistani neighbours seem to be using surgical strikes for some reason. Probably because of their effectiveness in killing terrorists.

The only thing the Indians managed to kill was a crow and some trees, as well as the reputation of their air force, not that it was that great anyway, given the impressions they left with the likes of the RAF and USAF in training.

Diplomatically yes, but in terms of assets in the region, the Iranians could open up access to allow Indian assets to be deployed against Pakistan. However, this may be unlikely as it wouldn't go down well with the Americans for the Indians.
