They are too weak to remove US bases in their country that their prime minister has repeatedly asked the US to leave, but they feel comfortable launching a full regional war into another country? lol

Russians really going all out, it really seems like they are pushed to the limit on the air assets and have now resorted to expending precious Naval strike missiles.

Those SDF units fighting in Deir ez-Zor are mainly members of local Arab tribes. These can easily be persuaded to abandon the SDF if the US decides to go full throttle against Sunni Arab Syrian rebels to protect YPG.

I'm not saying this is an easy task but it certainly does not belong in the realm of phantasy which is why the US maintains a low profile with regards to the rebels in the West. They simply observe before making the next move.

I'm absolutely convinced that high-ranking YPG terrorists are fully aware of this.
The US is deliberately holding back because it plays right into their hands. They want Assad gone, and the rebels are doing part of the dirty work for them.

But if these "rebels" were to get the idea of advancing east of the Euphrates and targeting the oil-rich areas, they would be wiped out faster than they could even pull the trigger. Wasn't it this year when the US shot down a Turkish drone for getting too close to Qamishli? A clear message to anyone who thinks they can bypass their rules. In the end, the Americans decide who goes where and who doesn’t.

I disagree respectfully.

The US does not have a romantic relationship with the YPG; their support is purely based on strategic interests.

If the rebels present a proposal that aligns with American interests, the situation could shift dramatically in an instant. In Syria, nothing is set in stone. The situation is fluid.

Let's wait and see.

The Americans must save face while the world watches closely. They have crafted a narrative in which the Kurds are portrayed as steadfast allies of the West - brave fighters, even featured in Netflix films that depict them as heroes in the fight against the evil IS barbarians. This image is deeply ingrained in the Western public perception, making it all the more difficult for the US to distance itself without undermining its credibility and its own narrative.

Step by step, with every possible means, the groundwork for a Kurdistan is being laid a development that anyone with eyes to see can recognize.
